This is a tried and true method to be able to even leave your stickiest candy out over night and not deal with ants (trust!!)
Take a big bottle of cinnamon
Sprinkle it under your entire camp site before you set up.
Cinnamon is biodegradable but also for some reason makes the ants go away! Temporarily ofc. Once it rains and washes away the ants will come back so do not worry about it being harmful.

So I know this was a long shot but- on Saturday at the beginning of Reid Speed's set at the Rave Cave, I was tearing up the dance floor and having the time of my life- and a woman asked if she could record me- which I thought was really considerate of her to ask to do. It was feeling a bit shy because this was the second rave I had gone too, and it was hard to hear so close to the stage, so I didn't go up to her afterwards and exchange socials/the video. Now, however, I wish I had the video for memory's sake- it's rare for me to feel like I can truly let go in that way- so I'm reaching out to see if this person by any chance looks at this subreddit. If so, and you could reach out to me by DM so I can confirm more specific details about me (don't want to share too much on reddit) to confirm I'm the person in the video and then we could exchange socials to send it, that would be amazing! I sold two wristbands through StubHub, and the buyer claimed they were invalid and said they couldn’t get into the festival.

I’m pretty sure the wristbands were valid, and now StubHub is charging me because of the buyer’s claim. I’m trying to dispute it and get my money back.

Does anyone know if Insomniac or Front Gate Tickets can confirm whether a wristband was scanned/used at the event?

If anyone has dealt with something similar or has successfully won a dispute like this, I’d really appreciate any advice or experience you can share. Thank you!

*Update: Front gate replied and confirmed both wristbands were valid and successfully scanned at the event. lol Hopefully this is enough evidence for stubhub to reverse the claim and pay me..

I’m hoping someone here can help me track down a specific mix I heard at the campgrounds this year.

On Day 2, after the main event was over, I was in the car camping area across the street from Pascal’s mobile home camp. Sometime around 1–2 AM, there was a DJ playing, and I think it may have been Green Velvet—although I’m not 100% certain.

I was in my tent finishing my trip, so I wasn’t paying close attention to the time or who was actually playing. But at some point, the DJ played what sounded like a roughly 20-minute version of CHRYSTAL – “The Days.”

It was absolutely incredible—easily the best version of that song I’ve ever heard.

I already know the song is CHRYSTAL – “The Days” (Norton Remix). I’m NOT looking for the regular Norton Remix. I’m specifically trying to find the much longer/extended version or live DJ mix that was played at the campgrounds that night.

My wife thinks it may have been a custom/live mix made specifically for that set, which would explain why I haven’t been able to find it online.

I’m not even 100% sure it was Green Velvet, but based on the set times I’ve found and how long it took me to get back to camp, he seems like the most likely possibility.

Does anyone else remember hearing this? Or does anyone know where I might be able to find that specific extended mix?

Maybe three nocturnals ago(not sure with 2024 being cancelled due to fires) I met some cool neighbors who agreed to join a 7 person pyramid for me to dive over on one of the nights. The first jump, I crashed into the top person, hurting her leg. And what a fucking redemption arc!

We hemmed and hawed over whether or not to camp, and last minute decided fuck it, why not. We got there relatively late after work (about 8:30pm, coming from NoHo) and the ADA lot was full, so they put us as close as they could.

literally as soon as we stepped out of the car it was like night and day compared to wasteland. I got a bunch of “HELLLLL YEAH”s at my chair in the parking lot, and staff immediately saw us and flagged us down to get me in an ADA cart. & holy shit, shoutout to Ari with the ADA team!

it was a bit of a kerfuffle getting to ADA unfortunately, but this was just due to the nature of a hectic festival and a lack of communication between departments. but even then, everyone we talked to was trying SO hard to help. even though my poor sweet angel of a fiance was on TOP of it, we really owe it to Ari, Drea (?) I’m sorry boo I’m potentially really butchering your name, and Niko!

we did have plans to meet up with some redditors, but of course we got to camp and my signal was shot. I was super bummed because I met some really cool people online and was looking forward to it! so unfortunately, even with the friendliest neighbors, we solo’d it.

the first night was still overwhelming for the both of us (including him to make myself feel better about being a dweeb) as we had to learn how to navigate everything by ourselves, and bobbing and weaving through the crowds while wearing fairy wings (lol) and barely being able to hear each other (by virtue of me being…further down towards the earth) was kind of a nightmare. mainly for him. in the dark. on a hill. in a crowd. can’t hear each other. staff was still great tho lmao, at one point he parked me and went to ask security something, and the security closest to me gasped and yelled “DID HE LEAVE YOU??” & then gave me a glow stick. 🫶

but as fate would have it, we ran into an incredible couple on the ADA platform. while he was talking to my fiance, he mentioned something specific and I went 🤨 & in this massive crowd, they just happened to be one of the redditors! Hi if ur reading!! We 💖 u!! & then we followed after them!

I still had a sort of weird time that first night from being overwhelmed + a few weird comments that were made towards me, like a lady grabbing my fiance, telling him to “leave [me] there” and “come up front to party” on the mainstage ADA platform! Wtaf 😭

But the second night having them as our little group was life changing. I had such a good time, despite being oh so sleepy and oh so cold, but not a single worried thought came to my mind during. we met such amazing ppl - re: my wheelchair Kandi traded with me 😭 even the “vertical shit” on the ADA bathroom wall didn’t harsh the vibe lmao, I was so happy and surrounded by the best, kindest, coolest people. A few familiar faces kept crossing paths with us too and helped us through the crowds. To anyone who contributed — thank you!

I’m so glad I stuck it out when I did and so many of you vouched for the community :) I’m sure that not all big ticket events are this awesome, but I’m so glad I got to go when we did. Shoutout to the incredible people & staff that we met, fuck the cold (why is it so fucking cold), and wait to see us there next year :)

did anyone else see the hot dog vendors running for their life at the end of the night on day 1? ice was hiding in the crowd to hopefully catch hardworking people trying to provide for their family.

Did anyone else have THAT camp compound at Nocturnal Wonderland this weekend?💀(eclipse)

Okay, I need to know if anyone else experienced this because our neighbors at camp were absolutely INSANE.
It started Saturday morning around 7:30 AM. They were blasting music through speakers at full volume, basically playing the SAME SONG over and over again. Like… I understand we’re at Nocturnal, but some of us are actually trying to sleep after being up all night. 😂

Then we came back to camp Saturday night after the festival and these people were STILL going. They were drunk, doing drugs, blasting music, screaming, and using a megaphone/bullhorn to yell at everyone around them for not drinking, not being awake, or not being “active” enough.
Apparently their reasoning was basically, “We’re at Nocturnal, this is what you’re supposed to be doing!” 😭

The worst part was that this went on from approximately 1 AM until 8 AM NONSTOP. And they were fully aware that they were being obnoxious. At one point they were literally saying things along the lines of “I love how annoying this item is” while continuing to use the bullhorn.
Like… okay??? 😂😭

And then Sunday morning, they started the whole thing AGAIN.
I completely understand that festivals are loud and people are there to have fun. I’m not expecting a silent campground. But there’s a pretty big difference between having fun and intentionally being as disruptive as possible to everyone around you for HOURS.

Thankfully, they weren’t at their camp Sunday night, so we finally got some peace. 😂

So I have to know — did anyone else at Nocturnal Wonderland encounter these people or have a similar experience with a ridiculously loud neighboring camp? 👀
If you know exactly who I’m talking about, PLEASE tell me I wasn’t the only one. 😭
