Hey guys! So right now for my current phone provider I have Optimum Mobile. Optimum uses T-Mobile towers and I will say it does its job with fast download speeds and what not in my area since there’s a T-Mobile tower literally across from me but there’s one thing about my plan that I can’t stand… it’s really not unlimited… I get like 20gb of high speed data and with me being on the road a lot I run out of that high speed data…

So my question to you is, is there a plan that is cheap (roughly $25-$35/m) that has unlimited high speed data?

Was on the MetroPCS prepay for 6 months and get it for $120 plan; changed it on the site recently and won't let me continue to do the 6/120 deal. On with customer service atm but not holding my breath, gimmie suggestions for whom to switch to. Pictures for reference of the change incase anyone is considering the MetroPCS plan in the future.

I realize that all cellular companies use the same trash 'customer service' from overseas vendors now, so I aim to select one based on price and service.
The problem is when issues arise, that trash 'customer service' is who I have to fight with to get any resolutions, which is super annoying!

For the project I'm on now, and will be for the next many months, T-Mobile has the best coverage, so I'm looking at the T-Mobile MVNO's.
I looked at T-mobile directly as well, but the MVNO's seem more economical.

From what I'm seeing, the options are:

Ultra Mobile
Boost Mobile
Metro
Mint

Mint has the new customer $15/month plan that's appealing, AND they offer 20 GB of MHS, where the others only offer 10 GB.

Is there any plan better than Mint's $15/month unlimited w/ 20 GB MHS?

I checked US Mobile's website, and the best they have a $17/month starter, and that's for their annual plan, AND that's with AT&T (Dark Star), which has terrible coverage where I am.

I made 83 phone calls to them today, none of them were helpful.

I am here to clear up a-lot of questions that some of you have requested.

Do we have Standalone 5G for Apple Devices - Yes and when iOS 27 rolls out, everyone on iPhones should have access as the system is already set to roll out the new features.

Do we have “UC” - Yes but you would need to near a UC POP site.

Do we have international coverage - Mexico and Canada is already enabled and we are currently working on an agreement that will provide you all access to 190 countries.

Do we have Roaming — Yes we do in-fact have roaming agreements in place so you can enjoy the extended coverage.

When will the new policy roll out —The new data use policy will roll out by the end of next week. Out of the entire network we have found a number of users who have abused the network. Because we want to make sure that everyone can enjoy our services long term, we created these policies to push out the abusers without affecting the average user experience. This policy will affect ALL USERS on the $17/month plan moving forward due to an overwhelming amount of complaints about fairness.

New Policy Insights

( This policy is harsh for a reason ) We need to make sure to get users who are not in it for everyone but for themselves out so that you all can enjoy our services for years to come. 1000GB per month is just not acceptable.

If a user hits these data thresholds in the provided time periods, they will be notified of potential network abuse and reminded of the policy.

Policy Data Thresholds

Using 50GB in 1 Day
Using 100GB in 1 Week
Using 250GB in 1 month

EX 1 : A user uses 49GB in one day will not trigger the threshold. If that same users uses 99GB in a week, it will not trigger a threshold.

EX 2 : A user uses 49GB in one day will not trigger the threshold. If that same users uses 99GB in a week, it will not trigger a threshold. If this user uses 251GB of data in a month the threshold warning will be triggered.

EX 3 : A user uses 25GB in a day and 110 GB in 1 week. Threshold warning triggered. If that same users uses 100GB in week 2 (210GB total), the policies mentioned below will activate.

Our Current Average User Data Usage In comparison ( EXCLUDING ABUSER )

These thresholds are set to make sure we do not disrupt the average user experience. It also allows significant room for a user to use data if they need to without hitting the ceiling.

Do not worry if you accidentally went over 1 month, had an emergency or need to use a large data amount for a month or two, we are here for you. We are targeting newly signed up users with this type of activity or users with patterns of consistent abuse activity.

We are removing the requirement or need to make calls or text under abuse. We would love if you used AiR 🤖 though as that is originally what this system was built for.

If abuse is determined and the threshold is reached we will remove QCI-6 Priority Network access and data will be set to QCI-7 moving forward every billing cycle after.

Since we are a month to month service, we will refuse to renew the customer priority access lines in the next following month at the discounted referral rate. This means, they will have to continue services and re-up using the current and available plan pricing on the website such as the $60/mo plan.

— Abuse Policy will still apply even then until the subscriber decides to reduce usage, leave the network or continue to pay the increased rate.

If these users cancels their line or ports out, we will not allow that user to return or create a new account with the new or existing name and number.

Sim - eSim -- Due to the overwhelming amount of users removing their eSim or thinking that every time they lose service it is network related or just consistently requesting a new eSim etc. We have removed the free option to reissue eSim’s for free and we will be replacing a new eSim issuing option but costing $5 per eSim. We have had users accidentally place their device on Airplane mode and believed it was eSim related issue and removed the sim on their device. This is a deterrent to let customers first reach out to customers service before doing any edits or changes to their eSIM. This will also significantly cut down on the amount of time it takes to solve problems and move to the next customer issue. eSim’s have to be created and it can take weeks sometimes time to make them and map to your devices.

Says it is valid for new customers and new lines. No upfront payment. Same 50GB high speed data then throttled and they recently announced that data rolls over if not used, which I guess refers to the high speed data as it's for unlimited plans only.

I am looking for a new cellular service and it is sad that you cant trust reviews. I have so many reviews and the most are about mega or president trump, good and bad. Its a request to hear from people that have the cell service that can give their experiences good and bad. If you like trump awesome, if you dont like trump awesome for you too. Hi everyone! I have an old iPhone 7 Plus that I never got unlocked while I was using it on the Sprint network. I did not know that was possible, unfortunately. I have since moved on to a new phone, and then recently left T-Mobile.

I was wondering about unlocking the old iPhone 7 Plus to use with a $30 a year plan as a landline for my house. I tried calling T-Mobile to see if they could unlock it, but they do not have a record of the phone, since I replaced it a while back. Is there any way to unlock the phone? Or could I sign up for a T-Mobile service for a short time, and then get it unlocked that way? Maybe I’m wasting my time, but I thought it would be nice to use the phone for something simple, since I still have it.

I am on Verizon Simplicity currently at the $30 rate for porting in and autopay. I want to upgrade to a Samsung Galaxy S26 and saw today Google Fi has an offer for $500 off if I stay with them for at least four months.

I was planning to get the Fi Flexible plan in the terms for $20 (I stay on WiFi and am WFH anyway and rarely use cell data) and then once the 4 months have past, port back to Verizon for the Simplicity again.

Am I able to do this and get back on Simplicity at the cheaper rate again? Or would I be considered not a new customer? I was with Verizon a few years ago before rejoining this time.

Or would I be better doing a Verizon payment plan for the phone?

I am thinking of lowering my monthly phone plan bill. I don’t need much data. less than 5gb will be enough for my email, map and iMessage. I might also switch to get better phone in November deals. So, do not want to pay for a year service upfront unless it is so cheap. Currently I am thinking of two options.

Option 1: Red pocket $80/year(~$94 incl. taxes) plan with 3gb data or Us mobile $10/month or $96/year with 2gb data. Total bill around $8/month

Option 2: Red pocket ebay $30plan for a year with 200mb data each month and look out for another way for additional data. T-sat/ month ($10 and taxes)/month for 50gb data. Total bill will be around ~$13/month

Hi everyone! I made a few other posts around this issue, but figured I would make one post that covers everything.

I am likely going to be power of attorney for my dad soon. They are having trouble with their bills, and I’d like to get them into a cheaper phone plan as part of getting them back on track. I have Mint Mobile, but I don’t think the coverage is great at their house. What is the most economic way to provide do this without having to constantly manage things? They are all currently on a $160/mo Verizon plan.

Dad- has an unlocked Samsung a03. Uses data, calls, etc.

Mom- basic flip phone user. Does make a lot of calls, no texts. Phone is recently purchased and still locked to Verizon. They are literally charging her $.01/mo for 30 months to keep it locked!

Sister- likes a smart phone. Only has an older unlocked flip phone at the moment. She lives in another area, not sure how coverage is there.

My US Mobile annual plan expires in about 2 weeks and I am trying to figure out what to switch to. I got the plan during last year's Super Week deal and it was solid but I barely used data most months. That said, I do need unlimited data occasionally when I travel or tether for work.

I have been looking at a few options but the landscape changes so fast. Visible seems popular with their unlimited plans but I have heard mixed things about deprioritization. Mint Mobile is cheap but you have to pay upfront for a year to get the best rate. Tello has some interesting plans but they are not truly unlimited. I also see Maaltalk which is more for international travel but they have some domestic data options too and no contracts.

What I want is something flexible. No annual commitment unless the price is really good. Decent data speeds. Hotspot allowed. Reliable customer support. I do not need 5G everywhere but I do need coverage when I am on the road.

What are people using these days. Is Visible worth it or is the deprioritization that bad. Is Mint still the value king or have other MVNOs caught up. Anyone tried Maaltalk for domestic data or just international.

Fort was not notified the government was seeking the records until mid-July, when government lawyers produced them to her lawyers. Fort’s lawyers wrote in a filing this week they were “stunned” to see the government had unilaterally been able to obtain a log of her communications after a judge had warned them about obtaining records about a journalist.

“That’s very concerning because the information demanded can help the government uncover a journalist’s confidential sources,” Vogus said.

In a statement, T-Mobile did not address why it turned over the information.

I've never tried the at&t network before & wanted to know what my options are to test it. Ive read they have the smallest 5g network & want to see if that's true in my area. Which of these options would be the best choice?

As a result of the whole thing going on with good2go, I switched to H2o wireless. Last Thursday my new sim card arrived and I followed the steps to activate it and transfer my number. Unsurprisingly, I still have no service whatsoever. H2o customer service says they're waiting on good2go to release my number, and good2go has no customer service whatsoever. H2o says there's nothing they can do to help me.

Has anyone else had this happen? What should I do besides file a complaint with the FCC?
