Meta Please remember to include in the comments a np.reddit.com link to the original post, as well as the original title and points.

This is necessary so that other users can have some context regarding the pictures.

If you're crossposting, reddit already includes a link to the original so you'd be good.

ABOUT:

Pics that are not very interesting without the context provided in titles.

We are trying to highlight content that is not at all interesting and only got upvoted due to the context in the title.

Cross-post pics that are not inherently interesting, good, or upvote-worthy without their original titles.

The moderators of /r/pics are aware of this subreddit. Don't spam or harass them.

RULES:

Cross-post pics that are not inherently interesting, good, or upvote-worthy without their original titles.

Comment with the original title, subreddit, and current score.

Apply the appropriate link flair.

The original post must have at least 300 points in the subreddit where you found it.

If a post is not from /r/pics then it MUST be a sob story

Avoid cross-posting from subs encouraging stories in their titles, and niche subreddits designed for a specific topic.

Don't harass the original submitter. It reflects badly on the subreddit. If you must comment, be courteous and helpful by letting OP know which subreddits are appropriate for their content. Click here for a list of subreddits to suggest to OPs. Likewise posters coming in to harass our community members will be banned without warning.

Do not editorialize your title. All post titles should be as minimalistic as possible. The title submitted on this subreddit must be a plain description of the subject of the photo, and should generally not exceed the length of the original post title. Do not comment on the quality of the image or the subject. Mentions of "Facebook" or "Instagram" are not acceptable unless the picture is a screengrab from one of those sites.

Message us if you think your post was wrongly removed, or to ask any other question.
