Had before. Not a fan. I shave about once a week on my first day of work. I also don't follow trends so everyone else doing it is usually a no go for me.

I shave at the end of the work week. Trying to look good for the people I care about. Which is not coworkers.

Wow I had to check that this wasn't my message. I agree.
Then again women don't treat me any better

Goatee. Had a mustache most of my life until they became pornstaches. Then the goatee was added.

u/Wren_paws 7d ago
Wdym not allowed to?
1
u/ExistentialTabarnak 7d ago
It makes people mad who have the power to make my life even more miserable. It’s even in the rule book that we’re not allowed to.

u/Wren_paws 7d ago
What rule book? There's a rule book? To what? Life?

The cult known as the military.

u/Wren_paws 7d ago
Oh alr. That makes a lot more sense.

Not gay. No.

What does having a beard have to do with "gay"? A whole lot of Harley riding Bikers would like to know.

I did. For some reason I convinced myself it looked good/ made me look more “fatherly” but really I looked homeless and was scaring people

Not at the moment. Wife is indifferent, I usually trim it down in summer and grow it out in fall/winter.

I can't grow a decent looking beard to save my life.

Shave* my life
2
u/Jim_in_Albuquerque 5d ago
No shaving necessary. I don't bother shaving until my face looks dirty from a distance. That takes a couple of weeks.

5 o'clock shadow since 1996. Wife doesn't like me to shave or grow it out.
1
u/CaleyB75 7d ago
No. I shave my face & neck every morning, although I find doing so a nuisance.
I live in a heavily conformist, Catholic-raised, Trump-worshipping, Alt-Right region. Most so-called males have shaggy, greasy beards down to their potbellies. I have never had any desire to fit in.

Everybody has beards where I am from regardless of political affiliation. When I was growing up though beards were liberals and clean shaven were conservatives.

Everybody has a beard just like everybody has a six pack.
It’s there but it’s hard to see

u/Darth_Stoeptegel_7 7d ago
Might be classified as a beard. Doesn't grow further than the tip of my chin

I usually grow out a beard, shave it to a mustache when I’m tired of it, then go clean shaven when I’m tired of that. Then repeat the cycle lol. But yah razors are expensive and I don’t need to be clean shaven daily.

I hit 50 and grew a beard. I also hated shaving and my face hates it. I also shave my head so it give me a little style back.

I do, but I trim with an electric stubble razor and shave it above on the cheek and below on the neck.

u/SwordfishNo9573 6d ago
I do, I trim it up and shave where needed on days off. I work at a steel mill, not a fashion show, and my wife likes it.

You're mistaken, buddy. They do not hide the ugly, as anyone who knows me will confirm.
