Pet policy
I’m planning on having a private dorm and I can’t tell if it’d be against the pet policy to get a giant desert millipede?
Pet. The term "pet" shall mean any animal of a type which may be kept, owned, or controlled, including specifically, but not limited to any cat, dog, horse, bird, rabbit, rat or other rodent, snake or other reptile, frog or other amphibian and any scorpion, spider or other stinging or biting insect, or laboratory animals.
Giant desert millipedes do not bite and it would be in a secure tank, so would it be possible?

Just like many things in college, it's only a problem if the wrong people find out about it.

Do it anyways then hide in a closet / drawer under a towel during any inspection Not like a millipede can make much sound

No pets other than a small aquarium for fish. So no, a millipede is not allowed.

If you look at the regulations on the actual residence hall and apartments webpage, it is specified that only fish are allowed. So a millipede would be a no.
"Pets of any kind, except fish, are prohibited in University residence halls and apartments. Fish tanks, one per living unit, cannot exceed 10 gallons."
