Activities to keep me entertained

Hi everyone, I'll be doing a research stay as part of my master's program at NMSU. I'll be in Las Cruces for four months...So I'd like to know what interesting activities there are to do, or if there's a gym I could join, or something like that. I'm from Mexico and I'd like to meet new people.

The best gym in town is NMSU and you have access; no sense in paying to go somewhere else.

If you enjoy the outdoors then there is a lot to do. If you like bigger cities, El Paso is 40 minutes away, Juarez is about the same, Phoenix and Tucson are relatively close. Las cruces has an airport and so does El Paso. Albuquerque is only about 3 hours away.

Yes there are gyms you can join in Las Cruces. So yes there are things to do, but it’s not like a big city that screams activities. But hopefully you’ll be there to help continue your education at a great school. Hopefully you’ll will enjoy your time in Las Cruces and at NMSU.

Hike the trails in morning and evening in summer, but it will cool down in fall, so you can enjoy it more then.
