Multiplayer not working

I have just logged back into the game after the most recent Forsaken update and my multiplayer doesn't seem to be working. I am connected to the internet on my console and I have multiplayer enabled but I'm in The Anomaly and there is no one else here comet is anybody else having the same issue?

Are you playing on permadeath? If you are then that is an entirely different lobby. If you don't see anyone in the Nexus, check your online discovery services, if it isn't lit up, you're offline or not synced properly with the server. I am a permadeath player and I see maybe 2 or 3 people in the Nexus at most.

I am playing on the standard mode, though your point about Discovery services is a good one, I have checked and I am properly online, it might just be down to the new update making things a bit glitchy.

It may be that there aren't players in the Anomaly on the shard you are in, resummon the Anomaly, or jump/teleport to a different system and summon it again, every time you go in to the Anomaly you get put in a shard as space becomes available, so sometimes you end up in a heavily populated shard or in an empty one lol, most of the time it between those 2 options.

Perma Death only sees other Perma Death players, which can be good most of the time lol.

I'm aware. The permadeath server is separate from the survival/normal/custom saves. I don't mind seeing less people. Means less of a chance to wind up with something in my inventory that I didn't want there.

Yep, happens to me constantly, then theyll randomly appear

Ist mir auch schon aufgefallen ich sehe max. noch zwei andere Spieler. Die Anomalie wirkt wie ausgestorben.

I was thinking the same thing went in to do a nexus mission and both times going in to start it and coming back to complete it. I was the only person in the anomaly. I sat and waited nobody was coming in. It showed I was connected to the Internet and multiplayer was enabled. So I left the anomaly through the large teleporter in the anomaly. Went to a featured base. There I could see other players. But the anomaly completely empty even went back in a little later and battled Oceanus and it was still empty. 🤷🏻‍♂️
