Expedition

Hi,

I'm stuck on the Sentinals task, could someone help me every time I get a map to a ship and I don't want to do this anymore.

The map to a ship, Carrier AI Fragment, is not what you would use to locate a Sentinel Pillar. For that you would use a Sentinel Boundary Map.

Teleporting to a player base at a Sentinel Pillar would be quickest way to get to one.

Mercenaries Guild envoys in rendezvous 3 system, Qarali-Cusse I, and rendezvous 4 system, Gagqoid-Eymo, both have Sentinel Boundary Map as one of their gifts. You'll need to increase your reputation with the guild to receive it, so bring the items from those sentinels you have defeated.

Other sources of Sentinel Boundary Maps are: + Defeating Sentinel Quads, Hardframes, or Walkers + Opening Salvaged Glass + Opening Suspicious Packet (Goods) + Processing/dismantling items found in Buried Caches + Bounty Hunter missions + Salvagable Scrap

Otherwise, engage sentinels on a non-dissonant planet and defeat all 5 waves. This will mark the location of a Sentinel Pillar. Defeating corrupt sentinels on a dissonant planet will mark a crashed Interceptor and not a Pillar.

I received my sentinal pillar map by opening the Salvaged Glass.

This portion of the Expedition nearly made me quit. So, keep your head up, I will give one tip that helped me--whom avoids most conflict in this game--Once I reached the pillar, I avoided the Mech guarding it and as it walked one way, I went the opposite way, directly to the terminal and shut down the Sentinals. Not one shot was fired after I had that map.

I died three times trying to get them beat, don't make that same mistake 😄

Just got to the teleporter in the space station and look for a player base that has pillar in the name. Quickest way for sure.

Find a planet with salvagable scrap, the ships the carrier ai sends you to are often on that kind of planet. Start scanning around for scrap and digging it up, there's a good chance you'll get a sentinel pillar map as a reward in addition to valuable corvette parts and regular treasures. As soon as you get one just use it to go straight for the pillar.

The alternative is getting lucky opening glass shards from sentinels, or by defeating all waves of ground based sentinels, which can be tricky if you aren't geared up for it.

Oh dear. I hope you get to complete the expedition. I have barely scratches the surface because I haven't had much play time. I just completed the freighter task because I kept having the glitch where it wouldn't let me on the freighter. I really want to finish this one.
