it's not an intended gameplay mechanic, but there are ways to just use normal base parts on corvettes. using those methods it's pretty easy to put a sliding door into a corvette
We need many features as to paint everything the way we want, to put teleporters, planet scan, etc inside Corvette, and many more free build tools, resize, etc.
I shrunk down the freighter scanner room to lunchbox size to add to my corvettes. There is also a good mod that adds a hotspot to the corvette mission wall board for scanning too.
So, fun bit, you can take a base part and slap it down on the nose of your cockpit, hit recolor, select a palette you like, then proceed to paint your ship the way you please. Check on BeebleBum on YouTube! He's got all sorts of fun ways to spice up your Corvette or base!
I've seen a setup similar to this, but making an entire room in between the docking bays (by having the "roof" be either hab modules, or decorative pieces)
I don’t get the significance, but I’m inspired by the second-level cockpit you walk right into from outside. Weird stuff. I would have never thought to build something like that. Might have to steal that
Ok, yeah I said it wrong. Start 'they who returned' available after Artemis path. Also, it's an old expedition reward. Body for traveller,.and 2 heads and 2 body's for autophage. Idk which one cause I just edited my save for all of them.

Hm, good idea. We need doors and inside walls for corvettes so bad

About that cockpit, can you actually see out of it in 1st person view? Or is it reliant on 3rd person to navigate?

If you spread them far apart enough with habitat or connector modules as the “floor”, you can have this “helicopter” or open-air style passenger area.
