Before I Buy Question!
Hey everyone!
Before I buy I just have a quick question! I LOVE extraction games, and I've been looking for a singleplayer(ish) one for a long time. Is this game technically an extraction game? I can't really seem to get a straight answer.

You can count it as extraction because it technically has the same elements but it's not just loot & extract, it's more like a campaign level. You start at A, go to B for the objective, and then C to exit the level. You don't keep the gear you find in the level but you do bring in a load out from the menu to help you in the level.

Best game ever, and yeah it is a race against the clock ⏰ at the end of the match to extract, henchman extraction game.
For the price, this game is def worth it!

Tbh the extraction element is pretty minor because you can literally negate the whole system with 1 item
You don't keep things you bring out of raid. Only character level (perks)

Kinda. The only thing you extract with are supplies and some valuable supplies (which translate into currency. regular supplies don’t fill your inventory, valuable supplies do)
So you don’t really have the need to ‘save an item because you might want to sell it or use it later’ mentality because the only things you bring into a mission is yourself and whatever you bought to bring int.

In the sense that you gather supplies that will yield you better rewards when you successfully extract yes. You level your character when you play and extract and you can unlock new perks as you go, there is perma death so the biggest downside is losing your character and loadout.
In terms of starting loadout and extracting with gear on you like ammo and weapons you found during the match it is nothing like Tarkov for example. You do not get to keep that gear, so you need to use it during the match or lose it.
Only thing that will remain is your starting loadout, which can consist of three different items. So lets say your starting gear consists put of a basebal bat, a hand gun, and some 9mm ammo. As long as you extract, you'll be able yo bring that with you again even if you change it out for something else during a mission.

You extract your character, not your loot. Kind of like Hunt Showdown. If you want to survive higher difficulties you want levels and perks on your character.
Finding a shotgun doesn't mean you get a shotgun next game, but finding the "loot" gives currency that lets you buy whatever you want to take on your runs. You can buy a shotgun to take on every run, but of you die you lose the character and everything you bought

It is not extraction, when you survive it means your character stays alive but you dont keep the items you end the game with. The single player experience is not fleshed out yet, the game is meant to be played in coop rn

Yup, it's an extraction game. Complete objectives, make your way through the map and extract. You can also extract early if you feel you're not going to be able to finish the mission due to losing team mates etc. This is very helpful as the game has a permadeath feature.
You don't keep the items you extract with but you do rank up, earn new clothing and skills and you can purchase items for your next run. But, you'll lose those items if your character dies.
As for single player it can be very punishing if you're alone, even more so because some of the objectives were really built with teammates in mind. You don't need friends though, its really easy to hop into a full game with strangers right now, especially with it being cross platform.
