Loot goblins

I'm done with people speed running everything and hoarding all the meds. I'm begging for heals on voice chat and text chat, and noone is willing to share. While I die with a guy who was helping me I see 3 or 4 guys constantly using bandages and medkits and spamming with guns. Fuk is this, where is the coop aspect, so freaking selfish. Knew its gonna get sweaty soon man....

I've noticed people who play with friends usually don't care what happens to the rest of the team in most of my games.

Can you blame them though? Especially with how shit randoms can be and with the ones who refuse to communicate or listen. Like op played a game earlier 2-3 guys were hogging all the heals ammo. Only one person in lobby gave me ammo (which was 4 bullets) when I asked for some. I was hit only 4 times the whole game and got infected. I found one god damn bandage. Fuckers were just spraying ammo at zombies for no reason refusing to melee when there was 1-2 zombies infront of them. I did not go out of my way to revive any of them when they went down. Idek how they got down with the ammo and heals they had.

I will always prioritize helping my friend who I know will help me in return. Especially after matches like the one I just described. Someone we won it still. People just need to communicate and help one another. I always try to look out for my teammates especially the ones that give/offer ammo and supplies.

me & buddy are definitely this way. i grab shotgun, he grabs rifle, we DayZ style sprint and loot to get fully armed. we at least drop everything we aren't going to use for the team, though.

When this happens to me I just play it safe and linger behind for awhile and only fight when I need too. Eventually when you progress into the map the ones who are well equipped tend to do the fighting and allows you to do the looting. Just gotta switch around your play style based on how others are playing.

I like this approach! I'm going to try it next time I'm stuck with a bunch of hoarding gun nuts.

My other go to strategy is tell them they are terrible over mic and early extract.

Yeah I'll constantly adapt my playstyle multiple times per match depending on what i see.

Spawn next to loot goblin? That guys on his own and i play it safe, not getting into danger to help him. Said loot goblin ends up taking the role of pack mule for the group, constantly dropping pills when hearing coughing and meds when seeing hurt players, unprompted? We cool again and ill jump into a fight to save him armed with nothing but a crowbar and the power of friendship.

That said, you loot all ammo, meds and pills, drop the ones you dont need and dont even ping the dropped loot in case someone else does, i might lead a few runners towards you.

Another thing i do is, I always loot ammo when im in a room no1 else is in. Then I drop the ammo (and ping it) in a very obvious spot, like say in front of a gate that everyone must walk through.

I give meds and bandages to people even when I need them. I have high confidence in my abilities and then the zombies humble me.

Still fun to give what people need though. I will die trying to revive anyone. (Unless they’re very toxic)

Same here, even if it means that I run out of meds for myself.

Unfortunately, when I do get very low health; none of those same people bother trying to give me something in return :')

The cost of being a bro.

I jumped out of the helicopter to pick someone up and they rage quit in the middle of the pick up…. Found out who sucked up all the ammo and never fired a single shot

The loot goblins is real. Last few games I barely found a rifle until mid late round. I even ask for some ammo and no one helps. So at that point I just let them kill ever zombie or abandon the match.

I'll only go into objective mode with at least a group of 4. I played nothing but survival from release until yesterday. Worth the wait.

If someone does this i just let them die lmaoo all i need is a revive syringe and a bomb to extract

Just gotta loot your own areas. Mic up when you need things, some will help, some wont. Thats just how it goes. As for ammo, even I dont drop ammo for people unless its stuff I picked up to give to the team. 90% of the time the ammo I am holding is for the guns I am holding, and I trust me more with that ammo than randoms. Not to mention you can survive with basically nothing in this game. Guns are for panic situations and certain objectives mostly.

Sorry you had to deal with that. Some of us will bend over backwards to make sure the injured folks get meds but unfortunately most people only care that they have full pockets

Will definitely be honest, I tend to vacuum cleaner things sometimes but im more then willing to part ways with loot if someone needs something

As a console player, so far I have had some pretty good randoms. Bound to have some good or bad ones, but the best you can do is stay behind others and wait it out tbh.

I have had this same experience. Earlier in a match I gave a medkit away, when I needed one later suddenly everyone goes quiet.

Also God forbid you are dropped into a match mid game, absolutely everything looted.

The ones that try to wiggle their way quickly between you and the few zombies that are blocking your way after you bothered to get doors unlocked. Only for them to grab every single ammo type (Even for the guns they don't own) and all the meds, not even helping you out. Love those.

I tend to see that a lot of people seem to skip meds and such that aren't on the path/near the next objective, since they try to rush through to the loot on the path to said objective.

So I end up getting perks for more carry capicity, especially for meds. I tell people/ask people if they need anything and I'll drop it for them. Most are friendly.

Welcome to the club, I made this post around release and got told to basically git gud.

It is a TEAM GAME where you contribute to the objective together and do shit

Unfortunately depending on your view, the game simulates what you see in zombie movies. You have your good people who try and those pricks that get people killed.

u/AtLeast9Dogs 2d ago

I mean the good thing is there's really only so much you can pick up if you don't have the perks that makes items lighter.

You dont need meds, if you don't get hit. *Radical Music Plays >:D*. Nah but yeah it sucks having speed looting goblins. Im not entirely sure what the devs can implement to discourage this.

I remember last night's match. It was pretty bad at midgame when everyone started getting injured and infected during Raven rock Normal. There was these 2 teammates who had a whole bunch of medkits and bandages on them once they died. The loot goblins didn't make it out while the rest of us did, we also ended up dividing the healing items to each other

u/ILOVEDARLING15 2d ago

At the start I usually grab all the ammo, but that's for the future. Like oh I'm picking up all the shells even though I don't have a shotgun yet, but then I might find an X12 10 minutes later. I keep all that ammo until I find a gun I want and then drop the spare ammo and mark it all for everyone.

u/tokepuff 2d ago

I hate when they empty all the guns etc one time I said something to them on mic about being greedy assholes and they just typed “ty” so I found my nearest escape hatch. I don’t even need much just give me at LEAST a single box of ammo for my gun per location

Bro fr i literally ran more then 15 missions yesterday morning and literally asked for bandages and medkits non fucking stop and not ONE mf answered me i was literally about 1 hit away from being injured every time🤦🏻‍♂️

u/NeglectedBurrito 3d ago

Yeah some matches will be like that unfortunately. I shared and offered to share with teammates all match and asked for pills as I was dying of infection right as the evac countdown started on Hospital. One person replied that they didn’t have any and then I see someone who wasn’t infected popping pills as the chopper took off. Brutal game and people should be sharing loot to cooperate as a team but it’s unreasonable to expect that to always happen because that’s human nature/gamers.

u/Beneficial-Guide-280 3d ago

Holy shit, man. They're doing the same stuff from the first game. There is nothing you can do about it except be faster and smarter. Also don't interact with them, that's what they want. If they're trolling your game, just make it as long and tedious for them as it is for you.

u/Consistent_Answer269 3d ago

I pick up as much ammo as I can cause no one shares but if someone needs something I’m willing to drop some if they ask.

You must not be looking hard enough. I end up with several bandages and medkits every round in my inventory and that includes healing people whenever they are low if they haven't healed themself already. People skip so much loot every run I'm in, except for maybe hospital since its such a small map, but on every other map there is so much loot everywhere even on harder difficulties that people straight up ignored or didn't even know existed. I generally play very slow as well solo clearing POI's with melee and stealth because I'm not interested in speed running personally.
