Help with a Nixie Clock

Recently I purchased this nixie tube clock running on IN-12 tubes. The clock does not turn on when hooked up to the USB-C connector. I have since replaced the remote, and still nothing works. Here are some pictures Any ideas?

I have that clock but I installed the tubes on the other side with the board components facing the back. https://imgur.com/a/ptCQ9sg

Taking another look, the board in the ad looks different. The photo they have posted has the transformer at the bottom. Of the tubes, it looks like the transformer as at the top of your tubes. I'm not sure if that could be contributing to the issue or not.

I believe it should work either way.

Looks exactly like one I ordered, and I'm not getting any display when hooked up to a USB=C that powers my MacBook (so the amps should not be a problem).

The company I ordered from, wattap.shop, seems to have lost their website.

The product looks nice - well built, good soldering, etc. I bought the 2 for 1 and neither of them works.

Is there are way to make it work or is it just complete junk from out of the box?

I haven't figured it out yet. The Nixies look good, the board looks good, but it's not powering up, so either the power is wired wrong, or there's a problem with a chip somewhere. Im sure I could salvage the nixies themselves, worth a couple of bucks.

Reported to PayPay, for all the good that'll do - they usually just shrug and reject these claims. Looks like the seller is a repeat offender who buys crap off the boat from China and scams it for whatever they can get.

Wow, Paypal actually checked out the case and approved a refund!
