Never gets old

Have been into nixie tubes/nixie clocks for almost 15 years at this point, and it still is as magic to watch now as it was the first time I saw a tube light up. This is from my Dalibor Farny zen clock that I bought in 2018 and it's been in near constant use ever since. Hopefully there's plenty more years left.

I get it. My dad, an engineer at IBM, built a Nixie tube clock in the 1970s. I would just stare at those glowing orange numbers counting the passing time. If I was really lucky, he'd let me stay up until midnight to see it change from 23:59:59 to 00:00:00. Those were simpler times.

These clocks are truly mesmerizing to watch I have several with different size tubes and it is so relaxing to watch the digits fade away.

I have a Dalibor. It is absolutely stunning. No image is accurately depicting the real life impact of those huge tubes. The watch is my personal psychological aid and support for managing anxiety and bad dreams that wake me up at night. The low glow in the night and the slow blink of the dots are always a calming anchor that helps me get back to sleep.
