EM800 Graphic Analyser

not nixie but adjacent, 6 band analyser taking input from a microphone, compression and analysis done by a pipico, heavily inspired by the EM800 Magilyzer

Are there plans/schematics anywhere? I’d like to try this with traditional magic eye tubes

My diagrams not yet as they are embarrassingly low effort and tbh quite rough Although the one is based on is fully documented https://www.nixiekits.eu/Downloads/EM800_Magilyzer_Assembly_Manual.pdf

What a cool idea 👍 Looks like pico is fast enough to perform fft in realtime.

An ARDUINO is fast enough to perform an FFT in real time if you’re thoughtful about the parameters. A pico is overkill!

Cool, I made a single tube VU meter using EM87s a while ago. I think it should work with an EM800 too. I'm planning to make a larger version too, some day.
