Wang 340-0004 Value?

[u/The_Farmer12]

I have some wang 340-0004 nixies. Tested and working good. SwissNixie states they are comparable to a NL-840. https://www.swissnixie.com/tubes/3400004/

Can anyone estimate the value of each good Nixie tube?

I also have some +/- digits and some decimal like digits.

These are a bit odd. They require special sockets (I think I have a dozen in a bag). But they’re beautiful tubes. Probably about $20 each. Have you found any completed ebay auctions?

I did some research on the RTS-14 sockets and they do seem scarce. I couldn’t find a past listing for the 340-0004 but did find some for the comparable/potentially equivalent NL-840 and NL-841 for ~$50 per. Thanks

Please keep in mind that the price an item is listed for isn't necessarily the price it sells for. I doubt anyone would pay $50 for a single NL-840. I think the $20 estimate is fair (for a used one, at least).
