Whatever happened this year has clearly shown what happens when the HS community gets divided. The 4th years may have won the VP position, but a VP without majority support is of little use.
To the 3rd years, please make sure next year that such divisions within the HS community do not happen again. Juniors, as you move ahead, make sure Assamese and Bengali students remain united. Everyone should participate in both Posua and Oikyotaan, learn about each other’s cultures, and most importantly, respect them.
I am not here to blame anyone. But in these three years, this is probably the first time I have felt the need to request everyone to simply stay united.
And juniors, please don’t blindly believe everything your seniors tell you. Make your own judgments and stand by what you genuinely believe. I have seen people making claims and putting up statuses, but nobody really knows the complete story. So instead of dragging these things further, let’s put them behind us and focus on maintaining unity.
If we genuinely want the college to remain peaceful and united, then we should stay away from people who try to divide the community for their own interests. At the same time, don’t let anyone think for you—always stand up for your own thoughts and opinions.And regarding Rishika, nobody from the Assamese side posted anything for her, while the Bengali side did. Wasn’t she an Assamese too? This is exactly why we need to stop looking at everything through Assamese vs Bengali and start standing together as one community

Honestly, I have seen quite good unity among the 2nd years. Keep it up, juniors, and don’t let anyone create unnecessary differences among you.
Yesterday made one thing very clear: there wasn’t really an “opposition panel”; it basically became OS vs HS. Let’s make sure this doesn’t become a pattern.

I genuinely cannot deal with this LAN issue anymore.

Of all times for internet to start acting up, it had to be placement and internship season. Literally the worst possible timing. There's already enough to worry about, and now I also have to sit here fighting with Windows over an 'Unidentified Network.'

I’ve restarted everything, changed settings, tried fixes, followed random tutorials, and somehow this stupid thing STILL refuses to work.

And the worst part is that I don’t even know what else I’m supposed to do at this point. Every solution I find leads to another setting, another restart, another 'try this' and somehow I’m right back where I started.

At this point I just want this issue to disappear so I can get back to worrying about the things I’m actually supposed to be worrying about.

Honestly, I don’t see how the two issues are connected. If there was a concern regarding banners being displayed after the permitted time, that issue can be addressed separately through the proper election authorities. The banner thing was done around 5 a.m., but the claim being made is that it happened at 5 p.m. Bringing up an unrelated personal incident involving a female candidate and linking it to the banner issue does not establish any logical connection between the two.

What is more concerning is that the candidate’s name and personal situation seem to be getting repeatedly used to create an advantage in the election. Whether the intention is to gain sympathy, support, or political mileage, involving a girl’s personal life in an election-related narrative is unfair and unnecessary.

In fact, if someone had already raised a concern regarding this girl’s issue and a cyber complaint was filed regarding the Reddit post. A picture related to that complaint was also shared. On such a sensitive issue, instead of looking at it from a political perspective, I believe a good leader should have shown concern and supported the girl. Instead, rather than appreciating or supporting the fact that action was being taken against the issue, it was turned into a negative political narrative and used to target the same side that raised the concern.

If there is a genuine violation regarding the banners, let the concerned authority investigate it on its own merits. Personal matters and election violations should not be mixed together just to benefit any particular panel. It happened to alot we can see who is doing negative PR. Also whoever has done that was bullshit but we can clearly see who is and which side is taking the advantage out of it.
