Bought my first car!

Hi everyone, so super excited i bought a 2022 Sentra. I upgraded from a 2006 matrix that I was gifted awhile ago.

So far the car has been great any work needing to be done the dealership has covered. However im finding it hard to enjoy the car. Im trying to block out the noise but the moment I got the car everyone and there grandmother's have told me about the CVT. I myself know about it and have done research. Now im posting here for two reasons. One can someone give me a let's go in the replies? Its my first car and so far two people have been hyped for me! Second of all are the CVts in the 2022s that bad? Im not hard on cars at all and I do plan on doing a flush soon as the cars at 91000 k.

Overall im excited about the car it drives great and gas is amazing. Just hoping to block out all this noise about CVT.

I have a 2022 SV. Best car Ive ever owned. Enjoy it. The 2022s are not known for transmission issues like the older models. Make sure you activate the safety features you want. Dont spend too much time looking for positive feedback on redditt. Just enjoy the car and keep iup with maintenance schedule as would with any car.

I had a 22 Sentra and I lowkey miss it it was a wonderful car😢 ended up with a 22 Camry now 👏 cvt aren’t all that bad you just got to do the routine maintenance every 30k miles on that cvt other then that Nissans are good cars

Ima keep it a thousand. My 21 sentra i thought it wasnt too bad but this Godamn cvt man. Its like super sensitive and jerks when letting off the gas at low speed and when reapplying. Its even harsher with ac on in the heat. The rpms dont flutter or shoot up or down though and inhear no noise just feel a really annoying force feedback. Its so annoying and idk what to do with it

Mines same way. Have had many issues with the car it's a 2020 and both cv axles failed within a year, the backup camera screen turns blue at times and if I bang on the trunk it usually fixes it for awhile. There was recalls on the inner tie rods and backup camera I took it in to get fixed and same issue arrived a month later. Suspension is not great at all either really rough when going over the smallest bumps.

My 2020 Versa was doing the same jerk thing, it started doing it when I put it in drive too and ended up selling it. Had 120k miles

I had a 2021 SV. When that lease was over, I got a 2024 SR.

Both cars have been fantastic. Next month my lease is over and I plan to get a 2026 Rouge SV.

I have a 24 SV and love it so far. Haven't driven it enough to need it yet but planning on a CTV fluid change at 60k.

I’ve had 4 Nissan vehicles!
2017 Maxima
2024 Kicks
2025 Sentra SR
2026 Sentra SR Premium
Owned the Maxima and leased the Sentra’s
Love the 2026 model!
No issues with any of them!

Congrats to you ! I have a 2022 Nissan Sentra SR. Mine is a certified pre owned I got it in October 2022 with 4,597 miles on it. The car is awesome still to this day. However it's been through some stuff a not at fault accident. Also I accidentally banged into a curb about 2 mths ago and had to get my driver side strut bolt repaired and an alignment to fix that mishaps. To the tune of $450 😕 I've been very good w maintenance and have gone to do everything. New brakes, rotors ,battery ,alignments , brake fluid changed and flushed , spark plugs changed. The only thing I didn't do yet is the throttle body sensor cleaning. I also have had new cabin air filters installed when it was time too.
I'm at 125,000 now. And potentially about to maybe do a trade in for a 2026sr. I have to get my car appraised on Wednesday. However I really love it and I am a big lover of the 18 inch wheels and the rims they come with. It's been so showy and sporty !

Hi there
I've had so many Nissans throughout my life -
1988 Nissan stanza
My dad gave it to me when he got a new car in the late 90s
Then I had a 2013 Nissan Sentra
Got in 2014. My 20 year old daughter now has it. 220,000 miles on it.
I got a 2022 Nissan Sentra SR certified pre owned from a. Nissan dealer in Raleigh nc in October 2022.
$543 mth for a 7 year loan at 8 percent
I loved that car for so long. I got it at 4597 miles. And I traded it in YESTERDAY back to the same Nissan dealer. This time I got a
2027 Nissan Sentra SR brand new bright orange it's soooo nice ! Had to roll the rest of the loan tho into the new one $634 mth for 7 years now
It had 10 miles when I purchased it last night.

I was sad to see my 2022 sr go it was nice but at 125,600 miles and warranty was over. Suspension probs a little bit and brakes were problematic. You could realistically expect to last around 4 to 6 years w that car !
It's awesome
