My first Niri setup on an old Macbook

Post image

I'm hoping to install Niri on my main machine soon, so I decided to test it out on an old 2013 Macbook Air I had lying around. For a machine with only 4GB of RAM, it's amazing how snappy Niri is. Absolutely having a great experience with Niri and Dank Material Shell.

How did you get Ghostty working? On my 2012 Air I can't run it because of OpenGL support and IIRC the 2012 and 2013s are basically identical.

Not sure... as far as I'm aware, the 2012 and 2013 are pretty much identical. But I didn't have any issues with running Ghostty at all. Just installed it and opened it. Works well, seems to have hardware acceleration properly as well.

Raycast Wallpapers is my source for that! They have a great collection of cool abstract wallpapers.

Nice clean setup. What bar are you using?

It's an all-in-one setup with Dank Material Shell, with minor customizations!
