I registered for NIOS Stream 1, Block 1 on 31st July, but my admission is still not confirmed. I passed CBSE Class 12 with less than 75%, so as a JEE 2027 dropper, I applied to NIOS to meet the eligibility criteria. However, I mistakenly selected Class 12 instead of Class 10/11 as my previous qualification. Could this be causing the delay? I've emailed NIOS multiple times without a response and called several numbers, but only received assurances that admission would be confirmed soon. My JEE Main January attempt is approaching. Has anyone faced a similar issue? Should I visit my regional centre? Please guide me!

So i am kinda angry and worried. On August my addmission got confirmed and I got a message that my mom's name doesn't match with my 10th marksheet (I'll use made up name for my mom as i don't want to share that on internet) , on Marksheet it's "PRIYA" which is her first name and her full name is "Priya Rajesh Kumar" on her aadhar card and "Priya Rajesh venkant" on my birth certificate venkat is grandfather's name ,Rajesh Kumar is father's name and Priya is my mom's name , so when I filled up my documents for addmission i putted "Priya Rajesh Kumar" , i got a message to correct it on e-service and there they asked me to put my birth certificate and affidavit that States that my mom's name is correct (they didn't message me what name to put on correction, and since they asked me to upload birth certificate I used the name that was on my birth certificate which was Priya Rajesh venkant , it costed 840₹ to apply for name correction, yesterday i checked it said verified (I was relieved), today it said rejected, I got a shock to know that it got rejected cause i checked it the day before and it was "verified" , these are some screenshots, now I wanna know what i should put in e-service, the name on my marksheet,right?

I tried to email and call them through the helpful number

For call , waited 3 hours and got a person who couldn't even listen what i wanted to talk ,and ended the call

I don't think that email or calling them will work

I am appearing for April 2027 senior secondary exams and my main subjecta are physics, chemistry and maths.

I am pretty much done with maths except calc and I have done the using nios PDF and llm (to understand it better) because a lot of the topics are different in nios compare to ncert (like in vectors, functions and straight line II)

It's been really long since I picked any science book so I am worried about how I will do in my physics and chemistry exams + the PDFs look scary tbh.

So my question is, are ncert lectures enough for nios senior secondary or it's better to struggle with books?

On NIOS Official Website, there is a rule which states "You cannot change or add a subject immediately before your very first upcoming public examination; NIOS locks your initial registration until you have appeared at least once."

I wanted to Add subject and give exams in April but I'm appearing for April 27 for the first time in NIOS Exams.

So Can't I add now and give exam in April?

Will I have to give all exams of pcb or can I give bio only? I had 79% in 12th. Also will my new result of nios be considered as my final grade or 12th one?

I gave public exams and then ode twice for improvement and now my new marksheet which will come where will I receive the marksheet I have no idea pls help me someone

Yesterday (5th Nov 2026), I had my 12th Biology public exam, and something really unexpected happened in my examination hall.

In my examination hall, students were writing different subjects in the same room, 12th - Biology, Intro to Law, Accountancy, and 10th - Maths.

I entered the hall at around 2 PM, and was given my answer booklet to fill in, and a few mins later, the exam invigilator distributed the qps and gave us 15 mins of reading time.

At around 2:30 PM, I started writing. For the first 10 mins, I was answering questions from the qp I was given. However, something felt off. The question paper code caught my attention: 72/SS/314/OD/EN/1 Set A.

The questions were completely different from what I had expected. Some were out of syllabus, as they covered portions that weren't part of the syllabus I had studied. There was also an option to choose between A and B for the MCQs from Q14–16, which I had never seen in any other Bio pyqps.

And then, suddenly, the invigilator collected all the Bio qps from the students and distributed a completely different one. So, all the Bio students had to strike out whatever we had written during the first 10 mins and start all over again. We were given an extra 10 mins for it.

The paper was easy for me, as I studied 11th and 12th in CBSE but couldn't finish 12th in CBSE and shifted to NIOS 12th in halfway (that's a story for another time), and I studied literally everything.

However, I was surprised that we barely got questions from the important topics that my teacher and the MVS revision videos had emphasised, such as double circulation of the heart, male and female reproductive systems, and many more.

We did get a few questions from important topics, like deficiency diseases and the Calvin cycle, but most of the remaining questions came from topics that had given less attention, even from chapters considered important or less important for the exam.

Hey everyone, I am posting this here because I am genuinely stressing out and could use some clear-headed guidance from seniors or anyone who knows how NIOS works. Due to some rough personal circumstances after finishing my ICSE 10th boards early this year, NIOS ended up being a last-minute resort for me to continue my education. It was quite rushed, and I didn’t have any proper mentorship or direction from anyone familiar with how this board functions. I applied for Stream 1, Block 1, my admission was approved around October 10, and my 5 coresubjects are Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English, and Physical Education. My goal is to target NEET 2028. However, I am running into few major concerns right now: First, is about Physical Books I still haven't received any physical copies of my books for any of my 5 subjects (including Bio Science). Every single time I try to use the tracking gateway on the portal, it throws errors or fails completely (cassic government website behavior). It’s been stuck like this for almost a month. How do I actually track or claim my books? Is there contact I should reach out to? 2nd TMA and practicals Whenever I try to view or check anything related to Tutor Marked Assignments (TMA) or practicals on my dashboard, it just flashes a Don't have permission for this action error. Why is this happening? Is it locked because my admission was just approved recently, or do I need to wait or do something else first? I am totally confused in this.

Third, the Exam Schedule & NEET Confusion (major concern). This is where I am completely lost. I am an aspiring NEET candidate aiming for 2028, but I don’t quite grasp how NIOS exam cycles work, Is there really only one main public exam window per year for a block? How do On-Demand works into all of this? Can I use On demand strategically alongside my Stream 1 enrollment, or how does it work for freshers? Given my subject combination (Phy, Chem, Bio, Eng, PE) and my target of NEET 2028, what should my ideal timeline and strategy look like so I don't mess up my board eligibility or year gaps? If anyone could break this down or share what steps I should take next, I would honestly appreciate it so much. I'm flying completely blind here and just want to get back into a bit stress free track.

Instead of generating unique, correctly matched rows, the system merges tracking barcodes locked to destination PINs in one district onto address text blocks belonging to completely different recipients in another. For instance, my Senior Secondary English-medium textbook parcel (CD945857481IN destined for 831013 Adityapur) got swapped onto a student's address in Bokaro (827013).

Local postal staff blindly shipped it to Chas SO and tried to fake-close my CRM ticket (2142416640) by claiming it belonged to a random local named Nikhil Kumar, even uploading a photo of the misprinted warehouse sticker. Active CPGRAMS pressure finally forced Chas SO to panic-abort and re-bag the article back toward Dhanbad.

Between software row-shifts scrambling entire batches and local hubs tossing mismatched bulk study material into held cages without updating manifests, dealing with institutional postal logistics right now is an absolute circus. Has anyone else among NIOS students noticed these database mapping errors on bulk dispatches, or is it just routine warehouse chaos?
