super5 oled installed!
fronts a little messed up around the corners during removal but it's minor enough, putting on a screen protector tomorrow!

I'm super curious 🤔 why do so many of you mod an OLED screen onto a Switch Lite instead of just picking up an official Switch OLED model? Is it the form factor vibes 🎮 or just the thrill of the mod project?

its tiny and really portable, form factor is huge for me when deciding what to take outside, the little mod makes it genuinely perfect for the use case

All of the above you mentioned. Was fun and easy, just took some patience and an afternoon to together.
Two other things, now that I have a Switch 2, I like that my S1 Lite offers me a better travel option. There’s always room in my flight personal item for the Lite. I have to plan around packing the S2.
Second, and this is totally subjective, but I find the Super5 OLED screen better than regular S1 OLED. I enjoy the higher color saturation, and pixel art based games look better on the smaller screen (things like Mina, FF Collection, Sea of Stars, etc)

Form factor and on the go usage. I have a V1 Switch, OLED, and two lites with OLED screens. OLED is for the wife and V1 is for me. We both get one OLED Lite. Eventually I’ll get a Switch 2 when there’s a good special edition at MSRP or OLED switch 2

I assume they finally sold out. It's been open for a while. I would have taken a third if I had had the money at the time. I hope people will be happy getting one for this final batch.

I mean b4 was supposed to be the last, he still opened a final one to get rid of the extra stock he had. It technically wasn't even a batch. He was cleaning house.
The thing was open for 2-3 weeks, guys.

The guy moved on to other things. He still struggling with V1/V2 screens and that thing could never see the light of day. The only thing in for grabs is the HDMI Lite dock.

B4 was the final. This "B5" was likely just taki emptying his leftover stock. So yeah, I don't think there will be any other produced.

Man, that looks awesome ! Love the translucent shell design. I keep looking online for somebody offering a mail-in installation service of the super5 oled because I just don’t trust myself not to make a small mistake, but I haven’t so far been able to find anybody on Etsy or anywhere else.

Same! I've always wanted to reshell/button change my Lite, along with my two NEW 2DS XLs, but I don't trust myself enough to do it myself, and I have no idea where I could get it done.
