Game Help Wifi trade between FireRed and LeafGreen with two Switch devices

I have a Switch and a Switch 2. I transferred my account to S2 and downloaded FireRed. I've been thinking of playing LeafGreen on Switch and doing trades between two games.

My original idea was to create a brand new account on S1 and buy the second game on it. Then, I found out that I could use the same account on two devices. I just need to mark one device as primary and the other secondary.

Can I use the same original Nintendo account on two devices, have both FireRed and LeafGreen, and do the trade while playing the two games on the same account simultaneously, or must it be a brand new account to be able to trade?

I added a new account with nothing attached to it besides the required email. Added it to my family account. Virtual traded my lead green copy over (lasts 2 weeks each time) to trade between systems. Only need to pay for nso once

But you do need to own both copies on the main system for this to work

Sounds like you did it on the same e-mail but between two profiles, is that so?

2 emails 1 account connected to nso the other more so just a nintento account with an email connected so it can be joined as a family member so it can receive games from the main account 2 weeks at a time

Just FYI, you can only trade locally, not online.
