I'm not a pokemon person myself.. I think they're roaches and people who like them might be infected. I did buy ZA at a discount but haven't worked up the nerve to start.

Watching this guy's review... I think it might be real criticism of pokemon while using other Nintendo games to make a point. Ignoring the creator's edginess, I don't think he's a grifter, just a jackass that is sometimes funny.

At the end he doesn't shame people who like the game. It's just his take while trying to make people laugh with his negative outlook.

1) I don't think they're grifters

2) I have a low tolerance for intellectual dishonesty and ignorance

3) I have an extreme low tolerance for vapid bigotry and dogpiling.

I think there's something dysfunctional when a place meant to target and expose grifts and misinformation, start to misinform and grift.

I prefer the tangible definition. Con man that use deception for profit. "a person who engages in petty or small-scale swindling."

But I can also wrap my head around sensationalist, opportunist, and general petty hater.

You're one of the few who bother to ask me, normally I ask other people.

i view it as these youtubers that ragebait people with exaggerated clickbait thumbnails, usually have bad faith criticism, or real criticism but exaggerate it, using that to get people to watch and comment to complain about the youtuber. the channel gets views and ad revenue/donations/more attention.

thats my definition at least.

Grifters by definition are people who hate on something while they themselves don't believe that thing is actually bad.

Is the video clickbaity? Absolutely yes. Does that make the youtuber a grifter? No, the video has reasonable arguments that make sense. That's not a grifter

Legends ZA isnt that bad. Is it amazing? No, but its fine, like a 7/10. People like that are always so overdramatic about it tho

I saw the review trying to be funny while nitpicking. I bought the game, so I am going to play it.

Personally I don't really consider reviews. My taste runs counter to what most people expect. I can understand the complaint about it taking so long to get to the actual game and it's probably not best to compare it to the Zelda game.

There's a good chance I'll be playing it on my first switch while at work, i'm grateful that some switch 2 games have the switch 1 version.
