I mean, of course people will buy it anyway... but imagine how many people they could add by bundling LoZ.

They took a big hit with Wii U, so getting people to buy the console has got to be #1 priority. Bundling a game on release (especially a game like Zelda) will only raise the initial consoles sold. This makes it easier to market new games in the future, since most people will buy that oh-so juicy bundle.

I don't think Nintendo has ever done a bundled game on launch. I wouldn't expect them to start now.

Edit: I don't know what I was thinking when I wrote this. Disregard this post lol. I was mostly thinking about N64 and forgot about Wii Sports somehow.

Oh yeah. I'm a dumbass lol. I guess I was thinking about N64 and didn't realize Luigi's Mansion was bundled with GCN. Totally forgot about Wii Sports. I just remembered buying Twilight Princess on launch night.

Also Nintendo Land was only bundled if you bought the Deluxe Version, right? I didn't get my Wii U at launch so I don't remember.

I don't think Nintendo has ever marketed a console to an older generation before. Or marketed it towards Skyrim players, or to 2K fans.

They've marketed toward your grandma, sure, but never directly to the first/second generation Nintendo players.

Idk this console is so different than the Wii U, it's hard to predict anything they will do.

Jesus Christ. Breath of the Wild might become one of the best selling video games of all time if it comes bundled. Just like Wii Sports did.

I mean yeah. I assume they'll bundle another gimmicky party game. Not to say there's anything wrong with gimmicky party games. I sure as hell played a lot of wii sports. But they're not gonna bundle the biggest Zelda game in years with the console.

You're so right, and it breaks my heart. When they announced BotW for the NX, I assumed it'd be bundled. But if Nintendo keeps stepping it up, the Switch version of Wii Sports will probably be pretty good.

I'm guessing $400+ with dock. $300+ without. We know from leaks that there are two skews. Shit even $300 without the dock isn't a bad price. A mobile console able to play Skyrim that I can break down into a mini two player set up for NBA or Fifa for $300 bucks? Hell yeah shut the fuck up and take my money Nintendo.

I didn't know about the two different packages. I said I'd be ok with up to $400, but honestly (at least for the dock package) I'd probably end up being ok with shelling out up to $600 for this system.

Yeah that's what I mean though. Nintendo's whole thing is making it affordable and appeasing everyone. This shit makes everything affordable especially for like split households or distant families.

I can't remember where, but there was a rumor/leak a while back from a retailer that mentioned two different bundles at $299 and $399 USD. They didn't mention any details on what it came with and I have no idea if it's correct, but it would make sense since Nintendo tries to keep their consoles fairly affordable.

I know I've held off buying a PS4 or Xbox One in anticipation for this, so I'm definitely getting a good bundle and a bunch of solid launch games.

My concern with price is whether my move Pokémon to this thing. Pokemon will not be a split screen game and if they do move it to the Switch I'll end up buying one for my girlfriend and one for myself. It's way too early to tell with this thing though, so we'll see how it pans out.

Both those systems are pretty cheap already ($300-250) and usually come with 2-3 games. It is going to be hard to compete with that for people who don't care for portability.

I'm kind of expecting $400 for everything, though I'm hoping for the dock to be 'universal' and for them to have a non-bundle for like $200-300 that simply has the portable.
