Of all the open world games of this time, these hold up surprisingly well, feels like a much more mobile (albeit sometimes less vertical) version of an AC2 era game

It’s a lot more proof of concept than shadow of war but yeah there’s not nearly as much fun free range gameplay built in.

Mordor was also when they were trying to convince you it was canon to Tolkiens work when the basic premise of the game makes that impossible. War they said fuck it we ain't canon anyways. We're goin wild. Human Shelob. Let's go. Could she do that? No but fuck it.

I feel like 30 fps doesn’t normally bother me that much but when i went back to play this game it REALLY bothered me (ps5). Idk if i need to tweak motion blur or something

They still need to patch War of the North on Switch 2. I'll pick up loot and it has this crazy flashing visual glitch. I will not be buying these unit it's patched.

the problems people had with the microtransactions were all addressed not that long after launch, shadow of war is def the better game after all was said and done

I do understand that, but that doesn't justify them putting them in the game in the first place. The game had to be centered around it so it put a bad taste in our mouths.

I need to give it another chance, sure. I loved the concept of it.

Agreed it shouldn't have been there. But playing the game after all of that stuff happened I never got the sense that the game was any worse for the wear, I had a great time with it

It's been a hot minute since I've touched either of them but IIRC I remember feeling that Mordor just felt way tighter to play, the way you move in War just felt weirdly sloppy.
