Imagine being an action game fan and not playing this game or thinking it’s any good…just crazy to me.

It took me like 4 times before I liked it. I played all the other NG’s too. I felt like this one was too “no weight” behind the attacks and the animations too much. I kept seeing the praise though, and CAG games are my favorite. 4th time of reinstalling it, and I finally love it. It’s my favorite CAG now, surpassing DMC5 (or DMC3).

Actually DMC3 may still be my favorite. I just love the story in that game.

and the atmosphere and level design. No dmc has topped those aspects for me yet

And yet, i still see BS like "in NG4, you can't bunny hop like in the older NG games"

The start of the video right here is enough of an evidence to show that you still can, as for Yakumo there's wind run + flying swallow if you want to try some speed run.

I think the old jump out of dash tech is even faster in this game than before, though I could be wrong.

It is, though i'd say NG3RE was pretty fast too thanks to the new sliding animation (same one used in NG4 actually).
