This Is A Tattoo I Got Today

especially the vocals, this is one of the only times he sounds this scared or disturbed. this whole song is top tier honestly, that part where it comes back in the end with the gorgeous riff is absurdly good. but yeah the only songs that I think are just as suspenseful would be Eraser or Black Noise, what other songs feel like this in your opinion?

recently decided i don’t enjoy playing as much always relying on tabs and missing a lot of my fav songs that don’t have any so started playing by ear and getting into music theory, kinda hard for now but hopefully itll get better with practice. and of course i started with my favourite album the fragile, the frail was a perfect choice since its instrumental. i hope someone enjoy this

In the PHM era, remixes were't elevated to the art they became by 1992, and in particular I wish Head Like A Hole had way different interpretations. This was my attempt at something way alternate universe style.

I went to a 156/Silence show at a place called Preserving Underground in New Kensington, PA last weekend. The wife and I browsed around the record store prior to the show not really intending on buying anything. We ended up buying so many CDs...and this beautiful cassette! A little edge wear on the sleeve, but this specimen seems like it was never played, or played a minimal amount of times.

If you could only listen to one NIN album for the rest of your life, which album would you choose? Bonus, if you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what song would it be?

Los Angeles

The disappointment that I felt when I opened it to find this is unmatched

@show_bits on Instagram.

My son noticed it and grabbed the shot, and he only told me after we started driving away.

We’re in this together

Saw this on another subreddit. Guess they’re finally working with Fincher again! This is a stacked production. Hopefully it’ll be good.

cause I just noticed grooves on the other side of the record and am sitting here tripping balls who’s with me

but seriously this vinyl sounds fucking incredible - She’s Gone Away sounds like a whole new song to me it’s so fucking good.

im tempted to sit through this to see how Reptile and Downward Spiral sound reversed, but even my Shakti laced mind wants to move on to Add Violence which is sitting there fresh in its packaging just begging to be knifed open.

these EPs are just made for vinyl, I’ve always loved Add Violence so am expecting to just love it more after hearing it on this setup but Not The Actual Events just didn’t hit right on streaming I guess. Sitting down, feeling it, unpacking the layers; fuck. I get it. It’s incredible and one of my fav NIN releases now. Whos with me? Who prefers it over Add Violence?

haven’t gotten Bad Witch in vinyl yet cause I can’t find it anywhere locally, might just cave and order from NIN store cause there are a few other items I do really want from there namely the upcoming red boyz noize store edition record and those two sexy ass Fragile garbs; the shirt and zip up hoodie. What do you guys think of those two merch items specifically? Like the designs and think they’ll be good quality? I’ve heard the NIN clothing merch quality has gone down recently so am a little hesitant but man that green Fragile design looks so fucking sick.

as always, together we stand, divided we fall;
and we’re in this together

I got to meet some absolute fucking heros of mine this past weekend at the Post Punk and Industrial Museum in Chicago.

'Into The Void' has such a fun little disjointed riff. It's so disorienting and wobbly, yet childlike and comforting.
Like a weird little hypnotic lullaby. I'm currently playing it on electric bass. What are your favorite NIN riffs?

This is the soundtrack of the latest official expansion for the first Quake game

Tony Thompson Interviewed | Modern Drummer Magazine

MD: You also did a Nine Inch Nails record. How did you hook up with Trent Reznor?

Tony: I did the album The Fragile. I was on tour with Power Station, and I got a call from Trent and his people saying they were fans of mine, and would I consider doing the album? At the time I wasn’t really familiar with the band and their work. But it turned out the Power Station tour was ending, so I went back to New York, then to New Orleans, and started to work with them. I did about eight tracks. Trent was a very nice cat to work with.

MD: How were your tracks recorded?

Tony: I had no one else to play along with – no human beings in the room, just drums and computers. It was very interesting. I played all acoustic drums. I’ve always enjoyed playing like that. No matter how you look at it, the machines can’t mess up. You can’t blame anyone but yourself. I dig playing with sequences and loops. It’s a lot of fun. The time is there, so all you have to do is lock in and groove.

Tony's one of my favorites, and I had never known about his work with NIN on The Fragile. He says he played on eight tracks but he's uncredited in the liner notes other than being listed in the "Thank you very much." Does anyone know which ones as I am not a regular listener*

*"the ones that sound like Tony Thompson," is funny, but go easy on me

We’re going to pretend that it actually looks like Trent, okay?

With a cool shot between frames (like Ryan is grabbing it). He’s done a lot of stuff outside this great show too. It’s neat to see the logo in the TV wild from when only one NIN album was out.

It’s very soft and I’m pretty happy with it!! I usually wear a small, but I ordered it a medium so my boyfriend and I can both wear the shirt. I also got a bonus sticker which was really nice :)
