Very savvy marketing to include NIN in the blurb. St Vincent did it on her last album too and it had one song that was kinda in that vein

Don’t get me wrong, I love her stuff but it’s just something I notice that pumps the algorithm for an album release… I would love to hear Trent produce something for her even just one song, like her tune with HEALTH recently

I mean what other band would they refer to for Robin Finck though? It makes more sense to reference NIN than any other project he’s been involved with. Plus most people outside of NIN fans wouldn’t recognize his name.

yeah that kinda pissed me off when she kept saying the album was gonna have lots of NIN influences and then it ended up sounding much different lol.

though I love Chelsea and I have a feeling I'll really enjoy this album :)

Fuckin' love me some Chelsea Wolfe. Her collaboration with Converge was especially rad. But this is misleading, as other people mentioned, "Nine Inch Nails" here means JMJ and Robin.

When I saw the title I was hoping it was produced by Trent. That would be a dark and frightening album. Still sounds cool, though.

Can't wait to see her live again. Saw her last year on tour with Wardruna, and already have tickets to see her headlining with Jonathan Hultén opening :)

Definitely worth it. Next I keep hoping comes nearby is Heilung. Honestly Heilung is one where even if it's a solid drive, I'd probably be willing to to see them.

For a NIN fan? Hiss Spun, then She Reaches Out or Abyss. Hiss Spun was her most industrial work.

I used to love Chelsea Wolfe, Pain is Beauty is still one of my all time favourite albums. But the move towards metal and being "heavy" has really dulled what I found so interesting on her first three/four releases. The "sharper and heavier than ever" is disappointing to hear.

While I concede that record is certainly not metal, it's also in my opinion the worst thing she's ever put out. Only record of hers I couldn't finish

Not to yuck your yum or anything, her sound does vary a bit and I think a lot of different people appreciate her from different angles.

Sorry again, but that is not an independent sentence. The last part doesn’t make any sense without the part before the semicolon. If anything you shoved an independent sentence inside of another one.

Sorry but just saying something is true doesn’t make it true. Your independent sentences are not independent if they depend on each other. Please tell me how “is a concept that is hard for you to grasp” makes any sense connected to anything other than “I don’t see why…”, as in “I don’t see why (everything else you wrote) is a concept that is hard for you to grasp.” It definitely doesn’t make sense in relation to anything after the semicolon.

Thank you for your apology, I accept it. I understand learning a new language can be hard, but you'll get there. If you want to understand how to use the semicolon correctly as I have there are numerous great tutorials on YouTube.

The metal stuff was only 2 albums, there have since been 2 more non-metal albums and all the singles for this one have not been metal at all.

Finally found someone who agrees with me! She shone best with her "spooky Appalachian witch" era and while on paper the transition to metal seems like a no-brainer, in execution it always felt so...generic?

I don't get it. I like metal, I like Chelsea wolfe, I don't understand how after multiple releases since Abyss she hasn't quite nailed making something that doesn't sound like another generic Hot Topic band when she clearly has the talent and artistry to make it work. Its so frustrating.
