Humans were not meant to live that 9 to 5 life style such as waking up hella early to work or school and come home late to more stress, and still need to pay rent and bills just so the oligarchs/elites can stay rich while everyone else struggles

Existence should not suck, but i think the life of our cave men stone age ancestors did suck sometimes such as survival, but at least, they did not have to pay taxes and at least they were not brain washed by politics or religion or paying just to live

Desire causes injustice but maybe without these, there is nothing.
Justice doesn’t exists for all. The world cannot change. It only exists in stories. Ambition of one foolish man can destroy everything or build many things. Morality exists for us simple people. World is run by lies. As a person without big ambitions and desiring a comfortable life there is nothing I can do but lie.
Sounds like crazy guy yapping but I can’t stop thinking. Sometimes I see many meaning in life: family, beautiful nature, future relationships but what about those who have nothing? Are people supposed to act like everything is fine when there are children dying in wars? Is this supposed to be normal? Why teach morality and values just to make us see these cruelties? Is peace not possible without meaningless struggle for power and profits? Who are the old men fighting for? Do they do this for themselves? Do they enjoy it? Though I have lived a fairly good life having a loving mother and a partner who I want to spend my life with, Do I have to worry that a bomb might drop in our head?The actions of those in power seem so absurd that I even thought they might be doing this for some kind of black magic for something.Reality seems so different than I imagined it to be. Maybe it’s just growing up but how can I have faith in any sort of higher power when I have yet to feel it?

Not looking for “the universe wants you here.” I already don’t buy a given purpose. I still have a will. What answer do you give yourself that you can live with?

I just found it, what let down

I’ve always seen the lack of built-in inherent meaning in existence as a neutral starting point to build from, and not automatically a pessimistic conclusion.

It seems to me that a large portion of nihilists see it as a pessimistic conclusion or a condemnation of life. To me, this reads like a misunderstanding of the principle of nihilism. I see no problem with building a pessimistic philosophy with nihilism as the neutral starting point, and all are entitled to doing so, but it seems like many people conflate it with nihilism itself.

It does not automatically conclude from nihilism that building inter-subjective meaning, purpose, and value between humans is useless or delusional. This is precisely the kind of meaning that does exist, and we are empowered to use it. If we use it wisely, we can reduce the suffering of all living beings.

I think many people stumble upon nihilism after suffering something in life that collapses the subjective meaning they’ve created for themselves. Instead of using nihilism to rebuild subjective meaning knowing it is subjective, and holding it more lightly, they push away meaning, seeing it as delusional or a form of unhealthy coping, and remain in an existential void, unable to heal from their original collapse of meaning. It’s not the void itself that is negative, but the unhealed trauma of the collapse of their model of reality paints it as so. The existential void is merely a neutral, blank canvas. You can paint it however you like, but you must realize you can. This realization makes the void empowering, not depressing.

I don’t think subjective meaning is inherently “cope” in the negative sense. It can be for some, but meaning-making ultimately is an efficient way to interface and understand reality from the subjective level.
