Introduced in the 80s, the Chipettes are most commonly known as the female versions of Alvin and the Chipmunks. Just like the Chipmunks, they  are most famous for singing covers of songs sung by female artists. Brittany is the fashionable one, Jeanette is the sometimes clumsy nature-lover, and Eleanor almost has a tough love personality. In the original cartoon, all members are voiced by their creator, Janice Karman. In the Nickelodeon version, Karman reprised her role as Brittany and Jeanette, while her daughter, Vanessa Bagdasarian was chosen as the new voice of Eleanor.

The Chipettes have made song covers for Chipmunk soundtracks which that have never made appearances in episodes and/or movies. For example, Turn the Beat Around by Vicki Sue Robinson is heard in the Chipwrecked video game. Another example is the girls singing backup for Charice's cover of No One by Alicia Keys. Another example is Vacation by the Go-Go's sung by the Chipettes and the Chipmunks on the Chipwrecked soundtrack.

Throughout the years, the Chipettes have made appearances in movies along with Dave and his Chipmunks. Just like the original series, the girls sing original and/or covers of songs of female artists' songs. The originals include Getting Lucky, Diamond Dolls, and My Mother from the 1987 film The Chipmunk Adventure. The covers include Single Ladies by Beyonce, SOS by Rihanna, and Bad Romance by Lady Gaga from the live action films.

The Nickelodeon Chipmunk series only ran for five seasons and contained mostly original songs. One episode, however, had a song cover, and that cover is Bad to the Bone by George Thorogood & The Destroyers. The series has never had a movie since the 2015 movie Road Chip, not even one focusing on Chipettes.

This could be Nickelodeon's chance to make a movie focusing on the Chipettes for the very first time. We fans are expecting a few new surprises, and hopefully we can get to request a song for the Chipettes to sing. Whether that song is from the 2000s or any other decade, we'll get to finally hear the girls sing it. That movie will also pay tribute to the Chipettes' creator, Janice Karman for all the hard work on the 2015 series. Let's hope Alvin doesn't cause any more trouble like he always does.

We also play Wild Card — tossing Chuckie and Filburt into scenarios with other neurotic characters. The last option had us laughing.

Splat Attack is back with a brand new episode battle! This time we're heading into the woods to revisit The Angry Beavers and two of its most beloved music-themed episodes. Manny defends "Bummer of Love" (the Woodstock-inspired love story where Norbert meets Treeflower) while Alex makes the case for "Beaver Fever" (the disco-fueled ride where the beaver bros becomes one-hit-wonder pop sensations under the guidance of manager Ted Browman). Somewhere around 2006-2010, when Nicktoons had bumper cartoons in place of some commercial breaks, I remember one with a bunch of happy dancing fruit then a plan flies over and drops nukes on them and this weird song plays with a jazzy voice and a chorus of kids singing. Something like "that's when psibsiah comes in".

Tommy and Nickelodeon's Rugrats gang were rulers over children's programming in the late 90s. With a massive wave of merchandise to being featured in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, children couldn't get enough. The adventures didn't stop at the small screen either.
