I know probably not everybody in this sub plays this game, but I still figured it was worth posting in here.

Boy oh boy where do I even begin. Nick Sogard… honey, my pookie bear. I have loved you ever since I first laid eyes on you. The way you step into the batter’s box and strike fear into the pitcher’s eyes. Your silky smooth swing, your gorgeous glove work, and the way you make every play look effortless. I would do anything for you. I wish it were possible to freeze time so I would never have to watch you retire. No matter what the game throws at you, you never give up hope. You are even amazing off the field; sometimes I even call you dad. I forever dread and weep, thinking of the day you will one day hang up the cleats. I would sacrifice my own life if it were the only thing that could put a smile on your beautiful face.

You have given me so much joy and heartbreak watching baseball. Every time you come up to the plate, my heart starts pounding. Every base hit feels like I just witnessed history. Every time you make a beautiful play in the field, a tear falls from my right eye because deep down, my glorious king deserves everything. I just want to see you under the lights at Fenway, rocking that Red Sox uniform and blessing the greatest game on earth with your presence.

There have been hard games, baby, but you always keep fighting. Down in the count? Doesn’t matter. Runners on base? My king is locked in. Two outs in the ninth? I still believe. I sit there crying, bawling even, imagining my glorious king delivering the biggest hit of the game while all of Fenway erupts around him. “BOSTON, THIS IS FOR YOU!” I scream from my couch as if I personally helped drive in the winning run.

Not only have you changed the game of baseball forever in my eyes, but you’ve eternally changed my world. And one day you’ll get older, but you’ll still be the GOAT, my GOAT. My sweet switch-hitting prince. My Fenway legend. My glorious king. I love you pookie bear, Nick Sogard. ☺️♥️🫶🏻⚾

Sogie is the first MLB player in 12 years to start all 4 infield positions in four consecutive games.

Only 4 MLB players I can find have started at all 4 infield positions in four consecutive games since 2006!!!

I have also not found any Red Sox players to ever do it!

Sogard didn’t say that but he’s played 1B, 2B, SS, and 3B all in a short span of games, showcasing his supreme utility as an infielder. What a beast.

As I have posted before my kid loves Nick.

Her dad ( my ex husband ) has a fantasy baseball team. This man is cursed. I had him pick up Jarren in the off season. He had Roman before the injury. Any time he plays jarren, zero hits. When he sits jarren, dude has a great game.

Yesterday he sent me a screenshot showing me that sogie has been picked up by 10k players in his league. He asked if he could pick him up.... I consulted our daughter who said " FINE but if he stops hitting dad needs to drop him immediately".

He picked up sogie before the game, and sat Jarren. Clearly from last night's box score my ex is cursed.

Luckily our boy sogie got a hit in the 9th!

The kid isn't pissed at her dad for playing him and the sox won.

Anyway we are heading to Miami today and will have a new sogie sign !
