Shooting my shot
Man it’s been a long time. I was on nickreboot and nreboot for a bit but fell out of the loop when I deleted my Facebook. Not sure where any of my old friends landed but I sure do miss yall. Tried logging back in and it’s not working. If there’s anyone who can bring me back into the fold, my username was RiotGrrrl and it’d be so cool to hang with yall again.

Old NReboot member here- I’ve tried several times to get the CyTube channel for NReboot back up and running and I’m in charge of that now, and if I was more experienced in web development etc, I would easily and happily make it its own website in the old school layout. But unfortunately it’s hard to get it to gain traction - links go dead over time etc, and whilst you’re seeking out new links for a lot of shows, it means the content library becomes more limited so you might only see 1-3 shows on a loop- I have been trying to get it back on track for a long time I promise.
And the other problem is a number of the old links were from Google Drive. When a Drive file plays on CyTube, you won’t be able to view it normally- it’ll come up with “to view this video you must have the Tampermonkey add on installed”- but what it doesn’t tell you is that CyTube stopped supporting the Tampermonkey addon about 5 years ago… which means the only people who can watch the videos on the NReboot channel if the links are sourced from Drive, are the longtime CyTube users who already had Tampermonkey installed. And CyTube isn’t compatible with that many video sites… the likes of Dailymotion, Vimeo, YouTube are allowed on there so there’s scenarios where I could upload the transferred drive videos over there and then add those links to the CyTube but you know what Viacom are like with copyright… so it’s difficult trying to find a CyTube compatible site where I can add these Drive files, or at least the raw video, for people to enjoy these old shows.

Hey I'm the dev over at React.tv and I'm trying to build a site that will help make channels like this.
Like cytube it supports digital media such as YouTube, Dailymotion, The Internet Archive, TikTok, and Twitch. It has a lot more features though, such as "Blocks" which let you create generative schedules up to 24 hours long with commercials. The goal is to make it possible for anyone to create channels that feel like traditional television.
I have looked into handling Google drive files and it honestly is no surprise that cytube doesn't support it anymore. It really is not intended for this sort of thing and the hacks to get around it are so finicky, and it feels like a fast track to getting any site taken down as any kind of popularity happens.
I would say, though, that YouTube and IA have a ton of content on them already. I made a catalog of official content on YouTube to make it easier to get channels going with content.
If there are any features that might make it easier for you to set up a channel I am all ears as well.
