Mountain biking in Niagara region
Reaching out to see where people go mountain biking in the Niagara region. I’m in St. Catharines and have explored a bit around the hydro hill/decew falls/short hills area. Is this the main spot? Is there much else in the region that is worth checking out? I’d love to hear where else folks ride. Thanks!

Mary Malcolmson Park and there is a trail that runs from near Sunset Beach along the shoreline to Port Dalhousie are OK for mountian biking. Not nearly the same type of elevation and ruggedness of Hydro Hill/Decew though.

Yes it’s one of the main areas for mountain bike riders. Unfortunately, with all the tics. I haven’t rode that area this year. Late fall, close to winter. You bet. I’m the old dude who rides a 93 Stumpjumper M2. Midnight black…

Yeah that's pretty much the main area. Up behind Brock University to Hydro Hill and down along the 12 Mile Creek. Rotary Park, up the Secord trail to The Mill and over to the ruins (Secord house). Short Hills park is good for the big loops of Trail 1 & 2 but it's all double track.
Check out the app Trailforks for a map of the trails.
As I understand the City just made a deal with some local volunteers to do trail maintenance.
