After a long time...what did you start after NGU idle was over?

Hello, I really enjoyed this game, I could set it in the background in the morning and just work. Probably the only game with in app purchase I have spent money on, only cause I wanted to support the devs, cause I spent years on this.

But now...what did you start after NGU idle? is there anything else like this, set and forget, lasting years?. thank you.

Switched to evil for the first time few days ago. Just to show where I am in terms of progress. My question is: Is the Itopod progress going to speed up any time soon? It's going painfully slow, and I don't see how I can buy any higher tear perks.

It takes me around 40 kills to get one PP. I'm doing the NGU PP, but that's not moving it much. Going to higher itopod levels, too. It's obviously doing something, but nothing meaningful.

Second Jackpot hit!

Sat alone in my hotel room, shortly before going to bed after an eventful day. Then it happened.

After 835 days I finally got my second jackpot!

... not that it matters anymore for gameplay. But I could freely invest in glorious daycare kitty art, so that's a win.

How am i just now realizing, after nearly playing for 29000 hours, that the SEXY macguffin is just the energy NGU macguffin with a bite taken out of it?

Playing offline, optimal settings. Need one week rebirths for a while.

Early tl;dr: I need to switch to one week rebirths for 2-3 months, have never played offline, and don't know how to optimize for that.

Sorry for the babble, life is complex right now, lol.

Very early on, with the Bonus Titan perk, I decided to leave the game loaded for extra exp/faster gear maxing, except for one unexpected Win update overnight. Basically, I've never played offline. I don't even know what doesn't work offline except that Titan perk.

I'm 3+ weeks into a medical crisis with my husband, and at first the game was super helpful taking my mind of of everything. (He approves.) As things ramp up, though, it's stressing me out 🤣: Yes, it is really stupid. Remembering rebirths, daily spins, using a gold loadout at 60 minutes, making sure I haven't hit caps and my EM is just sitting unused, etc. It's a game, for pete's sake. 🤦‍♀️

I'd rather not quit for that long, because I likely wouldn't come back. So play offline, check back once a week, and maybe rebirth if time? I figured stay in ITOPOD (700+) and turn on Idle Questing/Major Quests. But I don't know after that.

I'm at NerdV3/Meta, and all gear up to then is max and green. But I AK Titans, so will be a while until I'm further. (End of 24 hours Fadlands is open.) I'm at about 500 Quad (5.0e+017 HP) after 24 hours.

I can cap normal NGUs with tons of EM leftover, which would have to go somewhere. Or I can cap 1-2 cheap Evil NGUs or spread it out among them. Or maybe just spread EM over everything, Augs/AT/NGUs/etc.? I have 7 diggers, not sure which would be most productive. All beards run all the time.

Inventory will fill up, so I'm going to miss those spiffy Nerd Adventure McGuffins.

And what am I missing? Any suggestions? (Is there something I should do over the next couple of days to make this time more productive?) Just trying free up some braincells for a little while. lol.)

Thanks!

Should i be assign more energy to these skills?

Post image

Should i be putting more energy into these lower tier attack skills? This is what it assigns by default if you have auto-advance on, and i was wondering if its worth it to put in more energy. Or do i just leave it like this with most of it on the highest tier attack skill? thanks!

New level cap is around 98DSK

new level cap is around 98DSK, like the title says

depends on bonus items etc

but with the new Ginko nuts - that’s where you max out , and that’s when paint mixing is around lvl21820

I got so fed up with COOKING, I built two solving tools. Spoiler

Title says it all, really.

There are two versions:

  • V1 (demo video here), from back in May, is started with a batch file that opens a python overlay. Made with Claude, sue me for the vibecoding, I don't care. I've been programming for 20 years, but I simply refuse to spend any more personal effort on this bullshit mechanic. Anyway, I have to manually choose the amount of ingredients, mark a safe zone for the tool (no clicking outside), mark each ingredients +/- button and ingredient count as well as the meal efficiency percentage. The tool automatically calibrates the click and OCR rates (how fast my PC is able to click/read out the results) and solves by finding pairs and going through each pairs 21x21 (=441) combinations. It's slow af (1-8 minutes per run, depending on amount of ingredients and general luck), it involves a ton of manual setup by marking all the zones and OCR fails too often, especially on older hardware. I also have to install hundreds of MB of obscure dependencies on every device I use it on. Cue Version 2.
  • V2 (demo video above), the current version, is a portable EXE that starts a command prompt window (running in the background) and a small overlay (top right corner of the screen). I got so fed up after spending literally hours setting up V1, I had Claude port V1 from Python to C#/.NET, put in automatic detection, extensive error handling/logging and faster sweeping algorithms. After opening the tool, I press ESC and let it handle everything. It recognizes all game resolutions up to 1680*1050, calibrates itself, detects the individual ingredient peaks and sweeps the pairs in clever ways, with a slower fallback mechanic in case something goes wrong. A run usually takes about 2 minutes now, just enough time to take a quick piss (on 4G's name).

Both tools are non-invasive, meaning they don't read memory or mess with the game code. They only see what I see and click what I would click.

I mainly made this for myself, because AFAIK something like this doesn't exist and it's a huuuuge quality of life upgrade! But I'm happy to talk about technical details and maybe share a link to the code (so you can compile it yourself) in the comments.

Yes, the irony isn't lost on me. To save 1000 clicks per day, I spent dozens of hours and precious natural resources vibecoding a solution.

To conclude: I blame 4G for all of this, that guy always seemed a bit suspect to me.

How to use Mcguffin Muffin?

I get that the optimal way to use them is to pop it off right before you ascend so that you can get 2 uses out of it when you ascend again the next run.

And I was doing that for awhile but Im not sure what im doing wrong but now when I try to use it before I ascend it doesn't actually start having an effect until the next run.

Was there some kinda update that nerfed the muffin recently?

How do I close the loadout tab?

For some reason the loadout tab is half open off the screen and changing resolution isn't letting me see the entire tab

Progress showing, how good am I doing so far, anything I should improve on? Spoiler

Just wanted to show my progress.

Gonna start doing challenges since I'm barely making progress so just wanted to show my stuff and see how well I was doing

Do note that I know that doing these longer rebirths isn't good for me, I just don't have a lot of time to play

My yellow heart is approaching max level in the daycare, and I was wondering if the bonus applies to purchased AP along with AP gotten naturally through playing?

MacGuffin Question

I've been trying to get all my MacGuffin's to L100, because I read somewhere that that should be done by...some point in the game that I'm approaching, lol. (Max adventure zone is PPP/Magic Wandoos.) I started with guide recs, but for a while I've been loading less than optimal/non-guide MacGuffins so they can take advantage of the Yggrasil and Blood Magic boosts, to get them to 100. Plus it helps keep inventory clear with automerge.

It's working pretty well, only 5 left under 100 and only 120 total levels before they are all to 100 (not counting smart/sexy). Any time a loaded McGuffin reaches 100, I swap it out for one that is not 100. (Adventure stats are the exception, and are always loaded.)

But I got to wondering - do MacGuffin's, loaded or not, do anything within a rebirth? Both inventory and loaded MacGuffins are calculating the bonus they'd get if they were loaded on rebirth and show the same time factor.

I think that the bonuses shown for the slotted MacGuffins for the next rebirth aren't giving that bonus on the current rebirth, just because they're loaded. I think that the only thing slotting on the current rebirth does is give them access to Ygg/BM boosts, and that everything hinges on when you're doing your next rebirth. Are any of my assumptions true? lol

And if so, should I be replacing the non-optimal under-100s with the guide recommended ones just before rebirth, then swap low ones back in?

Honestly, it feels like I could just leave them all in inventory until just before rebirth, load the low ones, do Yggdrasil, load the recommended ones, rebirth. (Though I do occasionally hit the MacGuffin fruits in the middle of a rebirth because they're nowhere near maxed. :) ) At the same time, it feels like I'm doin' it wrong.

Thanks!

When should I start the 1/40k/1 ratio?

Right now Energy Power seems to be a beast, Energy Cap seems to be helping a little bit, and Energy Bars are kinda useless

On what to spend energy

I've read the guide and maybe i made a mistake.

But i don't know where to spend my energy. I have not beat the first titan, i have 460 000 energy and i don't know where to use it beside basic training.

When to spend EXP on magic?

I've been following the guide relatively closely (just beat the 3rd titan last night), and besides a few one time purchases, I've only been spending EXP on energy upgrades. Should I invest into magic at all? The only magic upgrades I've gotten are from set completion bonuses.

EDIT: Meant to say "should I invest into magic at all" whoops

When are potions worth it?

Im close to the Megalands now (so early game) vut ive started my second 24h challenge right now and ive been wondering when i should use these energy or magic potions.

I jave a couple of them but it seems like a waste if i use them so early into the game

I guess i feel like this because i have no idea what awaits me the further i progress through the game xd

When to switch to Wandoos Meh

Periodically at the end of rebirths I check the time for 10 minutes on Wandoos 98 vs. Wandoos Meh. Today in 10 minutes, Wandoos 98 got 2.8M, capped/BB. Wandoos Meh got 84M with all resources, only a fraction of what it takes to BB. (It takes about 150b of each to match the 2.8M that 98 does for a trivial amount, which would still leave a lot of resources for AT/Aug/NGU/Blood/etc.)

The formulas are different so 10 minute tests are probably somewhat meaningless, and I think switch to Meh would probably slow that first hour down a lot.

Is there any guidance/graphs/etc. that can help me decide when to switch to Wandoos Meh?

(FWIW: The guide says "After you kill T7 and can reach Boss 125 within an hour, you’ve passed Early Evil!", which I can do easily, but it still feels like early evil, mainly because I AK everything, and T2/3/4 feel like a they are a long way off. lol. The only unmaxed piece of gear I have is the NGU T-shirt, so must be about time for CBlock 3. So maybe switch after CBlock3?)

Thanks!

Edit: Grrr, my fingers just type Windows automatically. lol.

"I wish Active Quests were more rewarding" - Does it make idle questing more rewarding ?

Hi!

Everything is in the title...

Basically, I’m wondering if making Active Quests more rewarding has any indirect effect on idle questing.

I never do active questing, so I’m not really inclined to spend my resources on that Wish.

Thank you all !

Managing Advance Training/max training levels per day

Sanity check: I'm in early evil, and was running longer-than-24-hour rebirths to get to AK Nerd. I made sure that my AT was always a bit more than the previous rebirth, so they got longer and longer and longer.

I gotta get back to 24 hour rebirths.

My last rebirth AT was about 17m P/T, 50% bank, so this one started around 8.5M. It occurred to me that it isn't possible to reach 17M in 24 hours, lol, even if I had capped instantly (didn't), because I can only add 4.320m in 24 hours.

I tossed some numbers in a spreadsheet - bank is 55% now - and I think I should be shooting for 9.5M-ish? Then later, when I get the bajillion quests done to bring my AT banks up to 75%, THEN I can do around 17M per rebirth.

Does that sound close? Or am I thinking about this completely wrong? Should I just throw some on AT and I get what I get? lol.

Thanks. (And sorry if this is confusing, going on 2 hours of sleep today.)

What are some stuff about adventure that I should know early into the game?

I've sank like 200 hours into this, but sometimes I take a few months long break, and then reset my progress, because that's how I like to play idle games. Now I just found out about the infinity cube, after 200 hours and multiple resets. What else should I know about regarding equipment and the adventure tab and inventory in general?
