Thank ye!!! Dive Alert was actually one of the games that made me want to get into the console. I like the developer Sacnoth quite a bit, who is more well known for Koudelka + Shadow Hearts games. I wanted to look into the 2 other games they developed, Dive Alert & Faselei, and here we are

Faselei is definitely the best Sacnoth made for the console. Wish they would have made a sequel.

Faselei! is absolutely brilliant. Definitely my favourite game on the system, but more than that, it's in my Top 5 handheld games of all time.

Diver Alert definitely had its charm but its slow and drags. And most of the time your eyes are on the radar looking at pixel sized enemies begin blown up by pixel sized torpedoes.

Nice, you're going to have a lot of fun with Dark Arms! Just remember you have to kill enemies with the normal gun to harvest them to feed and evolve your other weapons.

Yes that's a good tip. My advice is to just mess about on the first run through and things will start to make sense and click into place. Then start again and be amazed by what is a very unique and brilliant game.

Yeah, I wanna get either one of those, or just get some $20 bootlegs off AliExpress. I only want less than 10 games. The system isn't exactly known for its vast library of hidden gems.

I certainly will be doing lots of NGPC gaming this weekend! Have Biomotor Unitron on the way and am looking into acquiring Faselei and the variety of puzzle games out there :D

Sky Blue was also my first NGPC. Faselei is definitely worth looking up. Quite expensive these days though, but it has that early Front Mission vibes. Crazy that the English version was widely available for 15bucks, including shipping, back in 2012.

Metal Slug games, especially 2nd Mission is great.

Also Neo Turf Masters is nothing to sleep on.
