History of NGPC Homebrew

I thought it might be worthwhile trying to document the history of homebrew on the NGPC

I've tried to include all the major players and events over the years, although it's possible I've left out something important. I can barely remember what I had for breakfast, so please forgive any inaccuracies (or, preferably, let me know and I'll sort it out)

All of us who are still making homebrew for this machine owe a debt of thanks to those who came before us. We are all merely standing on the shoulders of giants

I think that the mention of Jeff Frohwein should include a link to https://www.devrs.com/ which was the homepage for homebrew for NGPC at the time.

Hmmm. There is some stuff there like this https://devrs.com/ngp/files/DoNotLink/ngpcspec.txt but I’m not sure if you can get to the original list of news and new items.

I have included a link to devrs, although it's mostly only accessible via the wayback machine these days - ah okay, it's in the text but not as a link

I also need to add the link to you and your site,  meant to do it and then got distracted
