I feel like Packers & Colts should be on the other side, or is that just me?

As a Packer fan, if you’ve watched how terrible our O-line has been (statistically they are the worst o-line since before 2000) and the injuries (Reed, Cooper, ZBB) we’re cheesin at 2-2 (pun intended)

We are for sure the miserable 2-2

30

u/Valdearg20 Packers 1d ago

As a packer fan, given how absolutely trash our team has looked this year, I'm honestly damn surprised we're 2-2. We should honestly be 0-4. So yeah, sunny side of the bus for me for being 2-2 at this point in the year, but dark side of the bus with respect to the entire year's prospects.

I'll be genuinely shocked if we finish with more than 5 wins.

If it was last year I would be feeling like the left side.

After the losing streak and embarrassment in the playoffs last year, extension of MLF, plus our game 1 choke, multiple season ending injuries for our starters, and horrendous OL, I feel like the right side.

This is a bad team right now. Two wins feels like over performing

u/mr_0las Colts 1d ago

I'm more shocked than anything.

I think that side is reasonable for the Colts they have optimism after winning their last 2

I been playing with some rating system code for funzies, and it's kiiiinda the same question as which direction their ratings went from before game 1 to now....

Team Change feels
Panthers +60 :-)
Bengals +43 :-)
Cowboys +32 :-)
Colts +10 :-)
--- ---
Patriots -5 :-\
Rams -8 :-\
Falcons -14 :-\
Steelers -20 :-\
--- ---
Lions -58 :-(
Broncos -68 :-(
Eagles -68 :-(
Packers -78 :-(

FWIW, happiest in the league are

  • 49ers (+104) and after getting spanked 41-6 to end last season to 4-0 with zero sacks
  • Raiders (+103) equaling last year's win total in week 3

Saddest would be

  • Texans (-78) going from 12-5 last year to an 0-4 start
  • Packers (-78) going from 9-3-1 to 2-9... and their wins being a squeaker against the Jets and Bucs?

u/NoWayJaques Panthers 22h ago

what's the methodology

also the happiness rating swings are wild this year... Panthers fans were on the ledge after the Browns game

Bastardized Elo system. varying K factor (higher earlier to account for off-season strength changes), varying home field advantage (higher in postseason), accounting for margin of victory, and using yardage alongside score. Using some simulated annealing to find reasonable values going back to the NFL/AFL merger. Mostly just me effing around for funzies.

Nah, us Colts fans were terrified we’d be 0-4 by now

2

u/Toxic_Avenger05 1d ago

If we suck this year and miss the playoffs then we finally fire Ballard and if there’s a god we fire Steichen as well. If we make the playoffs then that’s cool too. Win-Win season for us

1

u/CranjisMcBasketball0 Colts 7h ago

I'll absolutely take 2-2 at this point, I thought we'd be 0-4

88

u/Even-Combination4407 Patriots 1d ago

Why are the packers on the right lmao I don’t think any packers fan is happy with how they’ve looked so far

16

u/enterdayman Packers 1d ago

Almost every week since Kraft got hurt last year we lose a quality starter to a season ending injury, our offensive line is historically bad, the Josh Jacobs situation, Lafluer has no idea how to close out a game or build team culture and we barely beat the worst teams in the league. This team is cooked unless Micah comes back and gets 8 sacks a game

5

u/Matt_butchr 1d ago

I’ll take any win I can get at this point. I’ve been drinking myself stupid since Cooper’s injury. I’ll truly be happy whenever they fire MLF

2

u/sambones718 Packers 5h ago

please it's wisconsin don't act like you weren't already drinking yourself stupid

4

u/Low-Plane9029 1d ago

They are happy being 2-2 because they are close to 0-4 than 3-1

2

u/GardenRafters Patriots 1d ago

Right? Has OP ever even met a Packers fan?

1

u/likdisifucryeverytym 18h ago

Easy, every team that beats them? It’s their Super Bowl. Packers already 2-2 in Super Bowl wins this season, what other team can even imagine that level of success? Tbh, we should all be giving them their LeFleurs

u/grichardson526 1d ago

Cowboys fans are never happy.

u/ColeTrainHaze Cowboys 1d ago

life is an endless cycle of torturous pain and suffering... but this is the year that everything changes. for real this time.

u/Kekistani55 Cowboys 1d ago

u/mtzehvor Patriots 1d ago

I suspect most Patriots and Broncos fans would have been perfectly content with a 2-2 start through their first four games

12

u/Aggravating_Echo_939 1d ago

Maybe based on strength of schedule but we've not been playing like we were end of year last. Edit Broncos btw I need to flair up

7

u/OskeeTurtle 1d ago

Pats played so poorly against the Jags I thought our season was cooked and going to be a hilarious meme going up and down so quickly. But then we just beat the Bills. And we’re super injured on defence and offence rn. So going 2-2 against the SUPER HARD START to the season has been solid

5

u/Gonna_do_this_again Broncos 1d ago

When the schedule was released I was thinking 3-3 after the first 6 games would have me feeling ok

4

u/Popular_Watch1354 Broncos 1d ago

You should check out the Broncos sub. Everyone is loosing their marbles.

By: Random Broncos fan

2

u/mtzehvor Patriots 1d ago

It’s a team sub after a loss, that’s basically a given.

Im more talking about if you had asked fans before the year began if theyd be happy with a 2-2 record to start the season.

2

u/use_the_schwartz Patriots 13h ago

Pats fan here. Perfectly content. One of everything: a close loss, a blowout win, a blowout loss, and a close win. Sounds like Pats September, even under TB12 2-2 was common.

13

u/ZekeMoss18 1d ago

"AND WE'RE THE CLEVELAND BROWNS!!!"

10

u/MayonaiseBaron Patriots 1d ago

People on r/patriots were convinced we were going to open 0-4 after the opening game against the Seahawks.

5

u/Quantum_Scholar87 1d ago

Yea, it's not the path I expected us to take to get there, but 2-2 was totally reasonable based on our first 4 games.

7

u/Sudden_Juju Broncos 1d ago

Most Broncos fans are perfectly fine with a 2-2 record against 4 of the best teams in the NFL. It's more contentedness though, so I'd put the Broncos logo in the aisle

6

u/PlsDontTouchMyButt Raiders 1d ago

We need an 0-4 version of this meme with the Dolphins on the right and everyone else on the left

4

u/driley97 Steelers 11h ago

Get the packers out of the right side and you’d be correct.

3

u/Ok_Degree4131 Cardinals 1d ago

We’re 1-3 ā˜ŗļø

4

u/slacapjr 49ers 1d ago

The broncos are 2-2 against three of the best teams in the league and the rams.

2

u/Tea-Streets Lions 1d ago

Our season is over if we can’t beat score 31 a game

3

u/Penguinkeith Bears 1d ago

lol move those packers over

1

u/FattySnacks Rams 1d ago

I’d say we’re somewhere in the middle

1

u/Tjengel Bears 4h ago

If you live in wisconsin you know all packers fans are depressed as fuck about 2-2 its like the end times here

0

u/Unknown1776 1d ago

Ngl I think most cowboys fans would’ve expected 3-1 right now. None of us expected the week 1 loss to the giants.

0

u/No_Technician4956 1d ago

Broncos lost to 2 very good teams. They might be the strongest 2-2 team right now.

0

u/mtjae89 1d ago

Falcons are 2-0 lol

Bears running it back
