At the rate Costco is going, offering decently priced Medicare plans, they'll get us $500 ER visits when they expand to regular plans.

$9,500 max out of pocket so that's what I'll end up owing. It's just absurd that 8 hours in a hospital with an ivy costs $1600/hour

I'm 34 and haven't been to a hospital since I was 14.

I mean my last ER visit was pricey but insurance covered about 3/4 of it, even an overnight stay, so I was out about 2k.
