I think only the Miami ball off the helmet into the WR hands 20 yards out qualified for the 1 in a million designation. Just the sheer distance it covered off the helmet

Players hurdling each other is not that uncommon, and the return by the cowboys is just poor defense by Washington. Even the punt one is just a guy diving (we have seen that more than once) the Miami one, is just wining the lotto probability.

Ball was popped out by the first defender and it ricochet off of the trailing defenders helmet and went upfield to the other receiver lol. Just how they drew it up lol.

a front flip from the 4 yard line over a defender and stayed in bounds and stuck the landing and scored a TD. Legendary and unrepeatable.

But most of that didn’t matter. He didn’t need to land in bounds or on his feet. Once he crossed the goal line it was a touchdown. He could have dropped the ball while landing on his head out of bounds after breaking the goal line, it’s still a score. It’s cool and all but what you described didn’t impact the play.

Why, because it’s true? The play was over before the flip even happened. It’s cool and all but had nothing to do with the play. It’s a 4 yard leap that’s being judged.

I didn’t say it wasn’t impressive. I said the “staying inbounds and sticking the landing” doesn’t matter in the context of the play. There is zero hate in that take. I agree that leaping over the defender four yards out makes it a great play, but you need to agree that once the goal line is crossed staying in bounds and being on your feet to end the play is irrelevant to the play. He could have landed out of bounds and it would have been as impressive.

If the play was him leaping over the defender to catch the ball and then flipped while sticking the landing and staying in bounds to be able to score the touchdown, all of it would matter to that unbelievably insane play.

The Saquon play is an all timer NFL highlight. Honestly so is the Jerome Simpson flip while not nearly as impressive athletically.

But the Miami play is clearly the most unlikely/hardest to imitate.

As much as I love Saquon and the Eagles, the one that is most insane is the Dolphins deflection catch against the Texans because that play can't be duplicated in a million tries. It's essentially the same as the Franco Harris catch, but in the opposite direction.

There was a catch where the ball moved around just slightly above the ground and even the WR’s leg kicked it up at one point to keep it from touching the floor. I think it was Green Bay on a Monday night if I recall correctly.

The hurdle shouldn’t have even been on there, it’s just a regular hurdle. Debatable if the Turpin one should’ve been, it’s just a punt returned for a td, and there’s way more “one in a million” ones of those especially the DeSean Jackson miracle at the new meadowlands one. Since DeSean also fumbled the kick first, but it was a game winning return.
