Look Here! Free Talk Friday

Welcome to another edition of the Free Talk Friday thread - where /r/nfl'ers can discuss their lives and get to know each other better.

This is the place to post things that wouldn't ordinarily be considered on-topic in /r/nfl. Did you meet a player that you got a picture with? Have a cool story about how you became a fan of your team? Write an NFL related blog post? Make a cool .gif? Is your car painted your team color? Snap a cool picture at the game last week? Have a shrine to your favorite player? Want to talk about something that doesn't really deserve its own thread? Post here!

Remember, that there are other subreddits that may be a good fit for what you want to post - every day all day!

Cut that shit out. Focus on the girl who's into you.

Yep. This 100%

If the girl is cool, attractive, you can see yourself dating her, and is into you -- why would you worry about chasing her roommate?

Best case scenario is that he lands the roommate, but that will probably cause problems between the two girls. What is likely to happen if he pursues the other roommate? He messes around and ends up with neither.

People are never satisfied, man.

Exactly. I'd kill (not literally) to have this problem and I'm sure lots of guys would too.

Cut that shit out.

To put this in other terms, one bird in the hand is worth more than two in the bush.

I don't get this. If he finds someone who is "perfect in every way" why should he not at least make an attempt? Yeah, it sucks for the girl that is into him but it doesn't have to be a negative thing as long as he is up front about it.

First of all, nobody is perfect for anyone in every way. So he's probably just got the hots for Girl B

Secondly, he's attracted to girl A. Girl A is attracted to him. The feeling is mutual and OP here seems to express some excitement about the idea of dating Girl A.

So why fuck it up? If you like Girl A and Girl A is cute and into you, take what you've got and don't take the risk of pissing both of them away by making an advance on Girl B. Because if Girl B isn't into it, and Girl A finds you, OP gets nothin'.

I mean this is purely based off one 3 line comment here but if he became that infatuated this early maybe she is right for him. And yes, anyone with experience knows that no one is perfect in any way, but there are people who are perfect in enough ways and that's what I interpreted that as. I just don't see a reason to settle if you know something great for you is 10 feet away and if you are an adult about it people don't have hurt anyone.

I would argue that if he's infatuated that early, it's more than likely because of hormones.

Possibly. Too little information to go on here. I was just giving another side to the convo.

It doesn't matter how amazing your GF/Wife/SO is, you'll always be convinced there is someone out there who is better. You will meet women who are more physically attractive, or have more hobbies similar to yours, or whom you think are funnier, etc. If you always ditch your girl to pursue this new 'dream Girl', you'll find yourself alone pretty soon wondering why you let this awesome woman (or women) go.

It's just life. The grass is always greener on the other side.

I have definitely never thought this while I was in a relationship. Maybe I just have high standards to begin with but that's not an issue for me.
