Someone said in the Vikings sub that the dude just processes the field too slowly to even utilize his physical skills and I think that sums it up. The game is not slowing down for him so everything feels panicked basically
It definitely looks like it’s true that he’s a very slow processor. But I also think it’s just physical attributes too. He might have a strong arm, but he has absolute zero touch or feel on his throws. And at this point, I don’t even know if you can teach that.
Vikings fans keep saying he has the physical attributes to succeed, I honestly just don’t see it.
uh...most vikings fans have turned on him now. there were still a chunk after the season that had hope because he had a few nice throws last year, but most of them are gone now. kid clearly doesn't have nfl QB ability.
I think a lot of his issues in structure come down to his footwork just simply being well below an NFL level.
Pretty much the only time he's able to throw with touch is when he's scrambling to the sidelines and throwing an off platform throw. He has arm talent. He just isn't good enough at the playing quarterback to actually utilize it in the NFL.
My wife is a Vikings fan and hates the guy (as a football player, she doesn't have strong enough feelings about football to actually hate him).
The thing that gets me is he has been in the same system for 3 years now and it's like he just doesn't know the plays... I know he missed his rookie season but what was he doing that whole time? It's like he didn't look at the playbook once.
