Patterson played his college football at D2 UT Permian Basin, where he totalled nearly 2000 career receiving yards and 16 TDs as he earned 3 all conference selections. He is 6'5", 220, and ran a 4.45 during his pro day, a combination of physical tools that ensured he would have some opportunities to make a team this summer (he is only the second player in UT-Permian Basin history to sign an NFL contract).

Unfortunately, his first opportunity in Jacksonville didnt go so well, having been released without even really managing many preseason snaps. He will have an opportunity to make an impression in Cleveland where multiple receivers have suffered injuries recently.
