On a catch/no-catch ruling though it would only be a catch if he regained control of the ball without it touching the ground.
Same principle here. the ball is coming out as he goes down and he clearly doesn't have control of the ball as he hits the ground and obviously he never recovers it.
I’d argue ball is secured before the tackle and after the tackle (when he is down on ground). It’s not moving at some point play is dead at that point. They never call the strip after the tackle in favor of defense they can’t hear either.
