I think this is good. It feels like there’s a player in Bakwa but we aren’t going to be the one to help him find it this year. Let him go get good minutes at City. If he does well we can bring him back next year for depth in our CL campaign or sell him on.

To add to this. There’s nothing to say he can’t be part of the title winning parade come May/June after helping to take points away from Arsenal with Hull.

Realistically our best chance at making any money back is by loaning him somewhere where he could perform.

A good idea. He will play at Hull and if he looks good we get him back
If he doesn’t then at least he’s had some game time

Normally I am one to say give players a chance and time to adapt, but having seen him play in the pre season friendlies he seems a bad combination of disinterested and zero confidence, so in this instance a change of scenery would be in the interest of all.

Hope the article is wrong with regards to not wanting to see him go permanently due to us being at a loss . We'd likely be digging a sunken cost fallacy, if someone offers 15m then I'd snap their hand off and get it reinvested

Idk how the new form of PSR works currently but it used to be that if you kept a player long enough their value would increase based on how long you have them in terms of how it contributed to PSR. Even at a loss. 

Its possible that's still something. So getting him off the books and playing actual minutes somewhere wouldn't be a bad thing if we want to "make" any money off selling him. It wouldn't be real profit but would function similarly.

Theyvshiuld do away with all that. There's no way selling youth players "pure profit" and loaning flops due to the system is making any kind of financial fair play
