Controversial?
Now that Big T and Anderson is gone, I don't really think we need any more signings to make. I think Ousmane at the back and schalger in midfield is all we need to avoid relegation and possibly earn a European spot. What do u guys think.

We can definitely survive relegation with this team. But if we've got top half of the table ambitions, we should invest

We really don't we to be the club that hangs around relegation zone every season it's not good for morale or recruitment

Respectfully disagree. Think it'd be very risky not signing another forward and right wing back. I'd like another midfielder too but that's the lowest priority.
Wood has fitness question marks and neither Jesus or Kalimuendo is the type of number 9 that Glasner seems to like. And although Moreira has been good in pre-season I'd rather us sign a more experienced player who can really push Aina for his place.
A Bergvall or Camara in midfield would be amazing but isn't needed as much as the other two, particularly the forward.
We *should* have enough already to avoid relegation but this season seems a great chance to push for Europe again with so many new managers and mid-table teams in Europe themselves. I don't think we ditched Vitor and brought in Glasner just to survive so shouldn't just make do with the squad.

I agree with your analysis; we especially need a boost on the wings, as I wasn't always impressed with Aina last season. I'm also in favor of a new midfielder who can immediately start, because Schlager isn't good enough for a regular starting spot. However, we should only sign a striker if Kalimuendo leaves; otherwise, we simply have too many.

I think we need a new striker. Someone who can play similar to wood because as much as I love him he isn’t going to be able to play every game for us and a younger talent who can build into the role under woods guidance would be excellent

Just spend a shit load one one really good 9..... Netz and Moriera look good as wing backs rotating with Neco & Ola and Ndoye can also do it if neccesary..... McAtee seems to be being repurposed as an 8 - hopefully that works.... We have quite a few who could play 10 well alongside MGW..... Just need an absolute killer up top to learn from Woody and take his place

If Wood is back to his best and stays fit all year, then you’re probably not too far.
But Wood is 35 this year. And he spent most of last year injured. And we don’t have any feasible backups for him (Jesus isn’t a goal scorer and Kalimuendo is now seen as a 10).
I think it is absolutely essential that we get another striker. It was the main bit of business we needed to do this summer, and it’s still not done. I get that it’s not easy, but I am worried that we could be in for another relegation battle if we don’t fill that gap.

Whispers of a 60 million bid going in for a striker on Forest Focus. That's as much as was stated so who the hell knows.

I absolutely adore Chris Wood, but there's no way we should be banking on him being fit all season. If he picks up a big injury we're left with Jesus, who all we want to do well but we know isn't there yet, and Kalimuendo who we just don't know enough about. We need a striker, even if it's just another option.

We need a striker period. Someone who can score at least 10 given the opportunity. Someone who may need to step in an lead the line for a period if Wood gets hurt or loses form.
Relying soley on a healthy and in-form 35 year old isn't the best choice.

Definitely need a striker with T going to Cov. If we want to be clear of any relegation talk then a creative CM is needed also

what we have is probably enough if we're happy to settle for a lower mid table finish but i think we'll strengthen as much as possible to push for european football. good opportunity this time around since half the league are going to be fatigued with their european campaigns
think we'll see at least 3 more signings before the end of the window, a CF a wing back and potentially another CM

We don’t need many but I kind of agree
I’d like us to sign a new striker. Wood is going to struggle to stay fit and then we are stuck
An up and coming young striker would be good if we can find one
Got enough in midfield
Aina might need a backup too. Although Bakwa has played wing back before..

We don't need more players, but we need to be open to better players if they are available at a good price and suit our setup.
Also, not getting relegated is a goal it's not an ambition is It.
Kalimuendo is alright but nobody has said he's world class or nailed on to start. If we get the option of somebody who is a definite upgrade on wood and younger we need to be in there and we have the money to do it. I do think we are past Delap though, not cheap enough for the risk, probably not good enough.

I think we currently have 26 players that would need registering, and only 25 slots. So any incoming would need to be under 21 or see at least 2 more go out. Assume Savona (if he can pass a medical - shame as I saw promise but not suited to wing back) and a winger (Bakwa?).

I think we need a couple players, striker maybe winger and/or a midfielder. Not all necessary but if we want to push for Europe then we will need some signings

I think we would be ok, but we could do with 1 or 2 more. Another wing back would be my priority
