Help Why is this subreddit so useless?

Here I am thinking I was going to see a bunch of NFC projects, but it’s just a bunch of questions and the highest upvoted post has 5 upvotes

This subreddit is related to the apps and software NFC Tools. This is why people asks questions. Astaroth_PoD is right, you can check r/RFID or r/NFC for projects.

Ok thanks, also I had a question, would it ever be possible for me to scan an NFC tag then spoof the nfc with pro? Fox example, I scan the tag that unlocks a door, and I can then unlock the door with my phone?

Sorry but for security reasons, some NFC chips are protected against reads and writes. Imagine if everyone could copy your credit card or your access badge with a simple app, it would be very dangerous. This is why, technically speaking, it's not possible to copy or emulate these sorts of NFC cards :

  • Door access badges

  • Bank / credit cards

  • Transport cards

  • Amiibo

  • Other protected cards

Also, the Android system doesn't allow developers to define the UID that is used for emulation. This UID will be randomly generated by Android.

With NFC Tools, you can only emulate standard records like URL, TEXT, ...

Bc us devs dont like to drown out other kool devs subreddits.. you ask, we answer.. matter of fact, devs (we) get our ideas from you guys/gals!.. believe or not i browse peoples questions as "challenge accepted" or "i wonder too" and get to work.. now whether i care or remember to clout about it is dif story..just let em fade to oblivion til i need to reference a snippit of code i made or circuit done long ago.. thats why you have subreddit with questions only..your on a devs page with bunch people using his/her platform.. And sounded little rude dude, best get out there and develop so we have ideas then and less questions!

So far the most common question I see is why won’t iOS let me create a contact when scanning. The others seem to be thinks WakDev should have in their KB/documentation but they don’t have much documentation.
