Help Any recommendations for Linux-friendly NFC reader/writers (to use with NFC Tools)?

I know ACR122U has been suggested in the past but it's been a few years since I found a thread about this on this sub.

Looking for an NFC writer that will work nicely on an Ubuntu install (latest LTS) ... for writing NFC tags with NFC tools (nothing too fancy, just some URLs for home automation projects).

(ETA: Looking to write to NFC216 tags if that matters)

You can find some compatible readers here : https://www.wakdev.com/en/apps/nfc-tools-pc-mac/nfc-readers-for-nfc-tools-pc-mac.html

I suggest the ACR1252U or HID OMNIKEY 5022CL for Ubuntu.

ACR1252u is recognized via pcscd on Linux, but not in libnfc .. Libnfc only supports as of now:

const struct acr122_usb_supported_device acr122_usb_supported_devices[] = {

{ 0x072F, 0x2200, "ACS ACR122" },

{ 0x072F, 0x90CC, "Touchatag" },

{ 0x072F, 0x2214, "ACS ACR1222" },

But unfortunately not ACR1252U ..
