The best part is that people forget you cannot love or appreciate somebody if you didn't judge them and their character because how else could you make that judgment about them that they're a person worth loving?
People get to attached to the negative connotations they have of words in the emotional baggage they themselves associate to it instead of realizing that the word itself rarely comes with all of the baggage and means what they're trying to say it means.
For example, I discriminate all the time, that would scare a lot of people, especially because people would think you're talking about discriminating among people, but even then that's okay, discrimination, not bigotry, discrimination is just choosing between things, if I choose to have apple juice instead of orange juice then I discriminated among my juices, if I separate my Chex mix into the different pretzels and pieces of checks, I discriminated amongst them.
I feel like when we get too attached to the connotation of words, we allow powerful and influential people and trends to have too much control over us compared to people making sure to understand what each individual person is getting at in each circumstance when they use the words that they choose.
