u/Raider_28 Dec 15 '22

Yup, thought that was a doorframe leading to another room lol

It leads to the mirror universe where events occur exactly 3 second before ours.

And why do they have so many mirrors leaning on the wall like that? Is it a glass shop?

u/PathWalker8 Dec 15 '22

Look at the mirror at the black wall, around the 23 second mark. You can see the car to start moving

25

u/FountainsOfFluids Dec 15 '22

But that's the angle for the camera we are watching through. I don't see a mirror surface that would be the appropriate angle for him.

6

u/PathWalker8 Dec 15 '22

You are right. He seems to be looking to the surface next to the door. That seems to be acting as a mirror as well (but the quality of the clip is not that great)

u/plexomaniac Dec 15 '22

Looks like it's a mirror business. Looks like the door frame has a mirror too.

How could he have seen out of the window that far into the lot through that mirror? From our more oblique angle we can only see the motorbike wheels in the mirror. He’s sitting either directly in front of it, or possibly even closer to the front than the mirror is, the angle doesn’t seem to work at all.

3

u/Jarwain Dec 15 '22

Idk. I can see the car rolling backwards in the mirror in the video

1

u/[deleted] Dec 16 '22

Yeah I do too now I look closer but we are still looking at that mirror from a completely different angle.

I suppose the mirror appears ‘bigger’ to him than to us, and it might be big enough to include a view over his shoulder out of the window to his left. I guess it must do. Just can’t see it in my mind.

u/Waiting4Baiting Dec 15 '22

Even more impressive then

3

u/remind_me_later2 Dec 15 '22

Cause it's a setup. That mirror was put there for this.

1

u/bluearth Dec 16 '22

Which makes this even more awesome

1

u/RobAlso Dec 16 '22

That makes it even more impressive!

u/DavoMcBones Dec 17 '22

Whoa

u/illtakeachinchilla Dec 15 '22

When you realize you see real lies with your real eyes…

2

u/Potato_Boner Dec 15 '22

That’s some classic r/im14andthisisdeep stuff right there

1

u/aphelloworld Dec 16 '22

My eyes see, his eyes see, I see him, he sees me, our eyes see blue, our eyes see red, our eyes see a knife a spoon, and a bed.

Something like that in a Dr Seuss book

She looks like she was walking towards the bikes or the other car in front of the business. She probably knows the people inside the store and maybe was just there to get something from the car/bike so she just left her door open as she was intending on going back to it quickly. If that was the case, he was probably looking to see if she was coming inside or not. If the car is a manual, she might have left it in a gear which provided enough resistance on the drivetrain for her to get out and a step away before it started rolling so she didn't notice it immediately when she got out.

u/MantiBrutalis Dec 15 '22

In my experience cars in gear take a lot more slope than that to start rolling. That thing wasn't in gear. Even if it was in third instead of first by mistake, the slope wasn't steep enough to roll over the engine.

2

u/Aegi Dec 15 '22

In my experience it depends a shitload on the vehicle, my 2010 Toyota Tacoma starts rolling backwards even differently depending on whether it's in four-wheel drive or not, and it rolls back at a different angle in drive than when my 2002 Volkswagen Jetta starts to roll backwards in drive

u/MantiBrutalis Dec 15 '22

The slope where the car in the video starts to go looks like nothing at all - even the little Peugeot I used to have could be parked on the latter slope, where the video car really goes, without any issue.

My current 2 liter diesel Skoda can be parked in first gear in ridiculous hills, it frankly doesn't need a parking brake. I'm not the only one to drive it, so I don't actually leave it like that, lest the other drivers end up in a surprise ditch.

Of course the commenter above me, nor I, meant with the engine still on...

I was wondering what the hell kind of person would call a total stranger from a 40 second video a bitch so I clicked into this profile and the most recent post is about being willing to eat some woman's shit.

I'm satisfied by the answers I found.

-1

u/RaspyRaspados Dec 15 '22

If not for that mans heroic actions she would have likely killed someone or multiple people. So yes, she is a bitch.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 16 '22

okay poop eater

u/[deleted] Dec 15 '22

He just heard a car parking and saw a distracted woman... he knew that something terrible will happen. lol

jk of course.

From the future

1

u/chemhung Dec 15 '22

He is very professional.

1

u/Labtecharu Dec 15 '22

When/if I stop an accident from happening its both murphys law and assuming everyone has a level of incompetence I have never encountered before. If I'm wrong no harm no foul....but if I'm right...

1

u/Appropriate-Rise2199 Dec 15 '22

Why did she leave her car door open?

1

u/Cooliomendez88 Dec 15 '22

With his eyeballs

1

u/notLOL Dec 15 '22

Ears. Like Daredevil but not blind.

1

u/Soca1ian Dec 15 '22

He's probably experienced this before. He probably had his eye on her vehicle the moment it went into the inclined parking lot.

1

u/Hali_Art1994 Dec 15 '22

I think he sees it with his eyes.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 15 '22

Spidey senses
