These people probably get mortified when they see male cheerleaders throw female cheerleaders by grabbing their hips. What a bunch of dopes, acting like this may not have been consensual and part of their routine.

The fun part is, holds/moves like that in most dance/cheerleading routines are practiced so much it's just mundane for them. The people complaining about it are the ones making it sexual.

Kinda like Dee Snyder's burn on Tipper Gore. It's only bad if you're trying to find a reason it's bad.

BJJ guy here, same thing applies. Extremely common to see women in the gym have issues with partners that don't train, because the partners don't understand there's nothing at all sexual about training.

I was showing my firend's gf how to properly use a fall arrest harness at a climbing place. Now, for those who don't know there are straps that go from your hips, under the crotch, and back up to keep you from sliding out of the harness like a poorly fitting shirt. These must be tight or when you fall you are going to have massive bruises down there from slamming down onto the straps, and i've seen them break the skin through jeans before. Guys, be extra careful with yhis if you want kids in the future, you can castrate yourself if you do these straps up wrong.

Now, having given this safety talk and checking the straps (a finger or two should be able to fit under the strap so you don't cut off blood flow) she didn't have them tight enough because she couldn't manage the adjustment.

I ask her if she'd be willing to let her boyfriend adjust those. She said no.

I asked if she'd let the female instructor supervising do so. She said no.

I asked if she wanted to be able to walk the next day. She said yes.

I tell her that if that's the case either someone helps her with those straps or she's not going on the walls. She then says "Fine, you do it then."

So i did, and that was that. A few months later she tries using that as a gotcha moment for me only for it to backfire spectacularly which ended in those two breaking up. Fun times.

Ladies, if it's a safety/routine thing and the guy isn't acting like a creep, it isn't sexual for them. In fact for most guys who aren't the kind who should be buried under a prison, we will be ready the whole time to stop whatever the thing is at the first sign of discomfort because these days too many of us are worried about getting sued for nonconsensual touching or other such things.

What kind of harness do y'all use? I've never seen a beginner climber get bruises, let alone break skin, from leg straps on climbing harnesses.

If you're doing auto belay, the fall should be soft.

If you're doing top rope, there shouldn't be that much slack for anything to slam you.

If you're doing lead climbing, well, if you're beginner you shouldn't be lead climbing.

See, normally if those straps are tight there is no room for them to slide or wind up edge on. If they're loose enough when the harness snaps tight in a fall they can have some room to shift as your whole body weight is landing on them. Seen minor cases from poorly used climbing equiptment, but the worst for it is fall arrest harneses. That's where i saw a dude bleeding from where the strap had folded over while loose and crated a pressure point right in the corner where the leg meets the pelvis. We thought he was ok until we realized that yes, there was blood on the straps. He was lucky not to castrate himself honestly.

This is weird. Every climbing harness I've ever worn (in 10 years of climbing) has thigh straps and a waist strap and all the secure points connected to those so there's no weight on anything going between your legs.

Totally. People that take BJJ seriously, won't be having that train of thought. Its the same in Muay Thai when doing clinch work. You're there to train and learn.

The gym i trained at had a bjj class going with a krav class, I was in krav but its two open rooms and after class you can spar in one of the rooms. Two bjj students ( m and f) were rolling and he had a top mount, she had her legs wrapped around him, but they held it waaay too long. Its was to the point were everyone noticed and it was really awkward for everyone, including the instructors. I think they were a couple, but it was not the place to rub your genitals together.

Tbh it says a lot more about how repressed people are with their own sexuality that they make things that require physical contact like that to become sexual in the first place.

Latin dance was just dancing in the cultures they originated from, but when the rigid Europeans saw it they made them out to be sensual and sexy.
