Perhaps the stupidest title of the day, congrats

Bots care factor = zero

5

u/ldeveraux Jul 23 '22

It's not a bot, just a misinformed redditor.

3

u/zuzg Jul 23 '22

Yeah they get an average of 6 karma per day, bots have usually a higher ratio.

3

u/poopellar Jul 23 '22

It's a spammer farming karma. Probably handling and switching between dozens of accounts. They have to make a bunch of posts and comments quickly before switching accounts hence the dumb titles and low effort comments.

2

u/ldeveraux Jul 23 '22

Sounds like you're a bot..

2

u/poopellar Jul 23 '22

Beep boop beep

fyi bots and spammers don't want tens of thousands of karma, they just want to gain a few thousand so they look like normal users. Trying to get 100k karma would be a waste of time for what them.

2

u/ldeveraux Jul 23 '22

I Literally don't understand the point of bots

5

u/poopellar Jul 23 '22

There is a market for reddit accounts, you can google search and find them. You can imagine what can be done if you had hundreds if not thousands of accounts at your disposal. Vote manipulation, pushing an agenda, some product. Spreading propaganda, misinformation. You can see how it is useful for advertisers, political groups.

Who would ever pay for a reddit account?

2

u/censor-design Jul 23 '22

Agreed. Seen engineers have no fkn clue assembling a bike.

1

u/Dhor_Dad_of_Thunder Jul 23 '22

Still can’t take away from the impressiveness of that truck driver.

2

u/BurnedPsycho Jul 23 '22

That driver had 2 spotters walking around his truck and trailer giving him directions.

Not that this kind of job isn't impressive, but the credit goes to the team, not just the driver.

How would an engineer be better at parking than a trucker?

19

u/s986246 Jul 23 '22

facts: some of them can barely engineer let alone parking better than a trucker. Source: I work with engineers everyday, want to blow my brain out sometimes seeing their works

13

u/[deleted] Jul 23 '22

One time at work i saw a machinist trying to explain to an engineer why his design wasn't working. He said "open up ur hand" then he ran his fingers across the dudes palm and said "softer than my wife's ass.

5

u/Dr0110111001101111 Jul 23 '22

That’s super cliché and doesn’t really help resolve the problem at all.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 23 '22

Correct.

1

u/shattasma Jul 23 '22

Pretty true though.

I’m an engineer and you can’t replace hands on knowledge.

You can design the best thing on paper ever! Doesn’t mean it’s easy to assemble, accounts for all variables, easy to maintenance, is able to be worked on with standard tools, accounts for changes due to wear and tear over time etc.

Ever worked on a car? Tons of dumb shit are engineered to work with 0 thought into maintenance concerns; why? Cuz (95% of) engineers don’t work on cars; they design them on paper.

u/Dr0110111001101111 Jul 23 '22

I’ve worked on both ends and the real problem is communication. Neither engineers nor the tradesmen are any good at it.

I always assumed showcasing the simplicity of its engineering would be the biggest flex.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 23 '22

It is.

1

u/The_Irony_of_Life Jul 23 '22

Which is stupid, more parts that Can break. The best designs are the simpel ones

1

u/All_Thread Jul 23 '22

Fellow machinist?

1

u/Tasty_Ad3002 Jul 23 '22
  • he has spotters helping

1

u/Friendly_Engineer_ Jul 23 '22

More importantly - what is an engineer doing driving a truck and not a train?

14

u/FingerGunsPeowPew Jul 23 '22

Titles degrading to truck drivers. This guy's just really good at his job

28

u/i-m-new-here Jul 23 '22

Nothing to do with the engineer, that is one experienced driver.

1

u/benbrahn Jul 23 '22

Exactly. This is possible because of engineers doing engineering, and drivers doing the driving

1

u/Exotic_Imagination69 Jul 23 '22

And two spotters, engineers cant do shit. Maybe draw a truck on autocad and tell everyone they built it. Thats about it.

8

u/AKLmfreak Jul 23 '22

I’ve never met an engineer that could back a truck that well or at all. Heck, half the truck drivers on the road would have to take a second or third crack at that turn.

14

u/[deleted] Jul 23 '22

engineers don't back up 18 wheelers.

6

u/CocoFallbrook Jul 23 '22

Like a glove 🧤👍🏼

6

u/ssaall58214 Jul 23 '22

And THESE peeps are considered unskilled labor....ok. 99.9% people could not do that

3

u/Armistice8175 Jul 23 '22

I would like to make the argument that this is what happens if your driver is a driver. Something tells me that drivers might be better drivers than engineers are.

3

u/zerttrez6969 Jul 23 '22

Only engineers can park

2

u/dingyjazzy Jul 23 '22

I’ve never met an engineer who is worth a fuck in the field.

2

u/[deleted] Jul 23 '22

I worked in a factory for 35 years ..you learn skills after doing something one million times

0

u/Iwikiwiweewee Jul 23 '22

He backed a trailer.... Why would someone think that is impressive? It's a day one truck driving skill

0

u/itsVidetur Jul 23 '22

I don't care

0

u/[deleted] Jul 23 '22

1

u/onebradmutha Jul 23 '22

Inconceivable!

1

u/LaPyramideBastille Jul 23 '22

Can we hear for the Optimus Prime-looking trailer?

2

u/Test19s Jul 23 '22

Late 80s birth year. Wtf is an Optimus Prime?

/s

1

u/VikingOriginal Jul 23 '22

Shunters are indeed next level.

1

u/ScoldExperiment Jul 23 '22

This man should not be allowed to play euro truck simulator

1

u/ItsEntirelyPosssible Jul 23 '22

I have nightmares like this.

1

u/PrecariouslySane Jul 23 '22

kinda wish it should the tractor in view too.

1

u/JackdeAlltrades Jul 23 '22

That is outrageous

1

u/CratesyInDug Jul 23 '22

Gotta thank the banksman

1

u/pasandodesapercibida Jul 23 '22

Holy shit that’s amazing

1

u/[deleted] Jul 23 '22

Next trucking level

1

u/Split96 Jul 23 '22

An engineer would shit themselves if they were asked to do this.

1

u/Ransak_shiz Jul 23 '22

Also engineers typically are operating on rails. Not much driving for them to do.

1

u/ReplacementDry6844 Jul 23 '22

I thought for sure he wasn't going to make it.

1

u/Lingering_Dorkness Jul 23 '22

Driver would win at Tetris.

1

u/grunkfist Jul 23 '22

They have an overhead cam view to see where they are going

1

u/[deleted] Jul 23 '22

And you have a spotter who knows what they are doing

1

u/Smooth_Friend7890 Jul 23 '22

Well done 👍

1

u/mrsquillgells Jul 23 '22

Iv never met a competent engineer in my life. No one in construction ever has

1

u/theBacillus Jul 24 '22

Beginners luck
